Trying for a Baby Part 9

I'm going to a roller disco with my friend and her two girls. Am I crazy? I hate skating and only tolerate other people's children.
Ha ha, I'm sounding like a right cow.
Codemonkey - I sympathise with being asked about when you are going to have children. I'm the eldest and my sister had hers years ago, my SIL is my age and had hers years ago. I have two female cousins that I'm close to and are 1 and 4 years younger than me and both gave birth recently. I'm sure everyone is looking at me thinking "when are they going to start, perhaps they don't want them, perhaps they can't and would be upset if we asked" although SIL has virtually asked and I wasn't very good at deflecting.
Claire - I feel for you. We have a queuing culture and it REALLY doesn't seem fair to wait so long while others jump ahead with ease and some with little thought as to what it's like to wait at the back. If we could somehow know how long we had to wait, even if it was a while, it wouldn't be so bad. I find the not knowing the hardest.
I'm half way through the dreaded 2ww. I know we did everything we could (4 times in 0-3 to 0+1) so i'm relaxed for now. Had a nice night out at a comedy club last night with a few cocktails (watered down i'm sure). Perhaps we need another list of things to enjoy before a bfp?Don't listen to me, I'm no expert!0 -
Hi ladies.
I'm currently on CD7 and I usually ovulate around CD27/28. FF is predicting I will ovulate on the 11th July. I just have a question about temping. I have started taking my temperature when I first wake up and it has been steady at 36.7, this morning 36.6.
I'm wondering what exactly am I looking for to know I've ovulated? Am I looking for a big spike in temperature - like 36, jumping to 39? or just something like 36.7 to 37? And am I right that when it spikes that means I have ovulated not that I'm about to ovulate?
Hope that made sense. I'm also using OPK's, what day should I start using these from and should I just test every other day until I get a positive?
Also, is a longer cycle going to affect my chances of getting pregnant? Last month's cycle was 40 days with a luteal phase of 12 days (although I'm not sure I definitely ovulated on the day FF says I did but I think it's likely I did as I had positive OPK's/ewcm the day before.)
Sorry for all the questions - this is my first month of 'properly' trying, using OPK's, temping, etc so want to make sure I get it right as circumstances prevent me being able to be intimate with my partner everyday/other day.
Hope everyone is well, best wishes to all.~

Feel bad now just bumped into hubbys best friend in town with his very pregnant girlfriend (due in 3 weeks) and I barely mentioned the pregnancy to her, in fact hubby was talking to her, whilst I chatted with his mate.
They are part of the "surprise oops baby" club and Definately queued jumped too, but I still should have acknowledged the soon arrival and I just couldn't.0 -
That's how I feel kynthia - some people seem to get those queue pass things & don't realise what it's like. And I agree not knowing is the worst. If I knew I'd be pregnant by around oct/nov time I'd be happy.
Patronus for temping you really need a thermometer with 2 decimal places to get more accuracy however you will most likely still be able to tell, it's I think supposed to be around a 0.2 or more jump and then often another jump a few data later. Mine normally dips just before ov.
So I'm normally around 36, go to around 36.75 for ov, then the 2-3 data after ov my temp will increase about 0.05-0.3 each day until about 3 days later it will be around 36.2ish and then after another few days it will have gradually reached about 36.65-7.
You can see people's charts by clicking their names on the list.
Linz that sounds very cute even if it was in a multi story hehe!0 -

Hi girlies,
Hope your all having a nice day. Linz, i think that a suprise element means more than a big grand gesture! and if the ring fits then def meant to be! Congratulations
Teandcakeordeath, good news about your appointment, try not to starve yorself too much between now and Wednesday.
Claire16c, thats it completly with the hormones, spots and PMT. I've been with DH for 12 ish years so he doesn't know me with my real hormones! Past few months have bene an eye opener for him and me! On the implant i never had periods and so thats rubbish too!
Becca, I think i'm destined to be mental forever! Unless i can regulate my hormones! Stay strong and resist the urge to test. You can do it! Thank for doing the lists.
Kynthia, enjoy the rollerdisco, try not to break a leg or an arm! I prob would fall over and break something!
Loulou, try not to worry about not mentioning the baby. I also seem to have a "suprise baby group" of friends. They all jumped the queue big style. DH and I have been together for 12 years, married for 2 and half years and everyone else hasn't. I know it doesn't matter that we are married and stuff but i still feel a bit like they queue jumped. Noone was even trying, whereas now we are trying and it hasn't happened yet (and i know its early days for us, and i don't want to jump the queue here so you will all have to have the magic touch this month so i can get pg next month!!!).
ASFM:
Not much going on here, dh and i went out for lunch and are off out for a curry tonight. We finally got round to putting some pictures up today only 2 and half years since we moved in!
Lots of hugs for those who need them and baby dust to all.
Mrs Muffin xx0
