Trying for a Baby Part 9

Ahhh.... the idea of normal. I'd love normal.
Rang my IVF clinic today to see if my repeat blood results were back. Receptionist was lovely and said 'ooooh, I recognise your name, we've sent your appointment out today'. I was somewhat surprised by this as it means the repeat bloods are ok but none the less I asked when the appointment was... It's on so dding Wednesday! I have to lose 8.... YEP 8!.... pounds before WEDNESDAY. I don't think it's remotely possible! I have a better chance of growing 2 inches- I've always wanted to be 5'9". Nothing (and I mean nothing!) other than black tea and water is passing my lips until Wednesday night. I'm going to see if they'll allow me to start treatment in two AFs time. I am in full blown panic mode.0 -
Aww TCD, you can't do it, so you can't panic about what you can't do right? *hug*
(Or you could try a colonic irrigation and water tablets)

TACOD - At the risk of being a bit irresponsible, years ago I used to do judo and a lot of the guys would try and temporarily lose as much weight as possible to get into a lower weight category for a competition. They had those sauna suits like these, and would sit in the sauna for as long as they could bear, and also go running in the suits to sweat as much as possible. It was all water, of course, and came straight back on after the competition, but it did get their weight down for the day.
Code, I do sympathise. On my super-long cycle (can't remember exactly but it was about 60 days) I got so fed up waiting I actually gave up wanting a baby, all I wanted was to ovulate.0 -
That's great news on your appt - nothing is impossible!0

Mrs muffin I think the problem that I found was when I was on the pill it regulated my hormones whereas now I'm off it each month I get horribly emotional pmt,& I get spots before AF and ovulation. So unfortunately I'm not sure there's much I can do without hormonal contraception which obviously I can't use right now!
Bex I'd love to see someone's face if you said that to them lol!!
We tried for 8 cycles the first time & I actually felt fine about it at the time I wasn't too impatient, I just wanted it to happen before 12 months as I was starting to panic something was wrong around then.
But now I feel like I waited patiently in a queue for 8 months, got on the ride, spent 3 months on the ride but then it broke down, I never got to finish it and then I got sent to the back of the queue to wait all over again & now I've been here for 5 cycles and I am NOT patiently waiting this time & am very annoyed I've been sent to the back!! I do not like this queue!0 -
That's so annoying Code. I hate elusive ovs.
Tea cake oh wow that is soon. Hopefully they'll do as you suggest. Please don't make yourself ill!0 -
Hey all, been lurkng for a while but decided to post as I need either a bit of reassurance or a virtual slap but not sure which lol
OH and I have been ttc since December. We had a BFP in March but I m/c at 5+5. AF has a regular 28-32 day cycle.
AF was due 8 days ago, on that day instead of AF I had stabbiing pains low down on the left hand side for a bit and that was it. Now 8 days on, stll no AF but..... My belly is so bloated I cant wear most of my clothes, I am perma starving, weeing all the time, having dizzy spells, weird sleeping patterns and today I noticed I ave now got some small white spots on my nipples (sorry tmi! lol) which is all identical to when I was pg.
However I poas again this morning and it was a bfn, used a superdrug test too which I beieve are really sensitive.
So could I actually be pg? or do I need to get a grip?! lol0 -

I really hope we get a flurry of graduates soon - June is looking very poor!!
MrsMuffin my hormones have never gone back to normal! Think I'm just mental :rotfl:
angeltreats that sounds like a fab birthday present. Come on tea, we need your cheerleading again!
I remember on my 80/90 day cycles, I just used to give up on the idea of getting pg as all I actually wanted was to ovulate!
Code normal? What's that? Maybe our kids will all be lovely and normal since our bodies are all being weird!
TCD do you have to loose it by Weds or when you start treatment? Good luck!
Claire the whole queue thing is frustrating isn't it! I really hope you're out of here very soon xx
