it may have been! basically before the mc my cycle was 35 days and afterwards they went really long, shortest was 42 days, longest was mid 70s i think and i always thought that i would only get pg again on the same sort of cycle.

this is my third cycle taking inositol, first was 37 days, second was 34 days, and this one i tested on CD34.

so inositol 500mg twice a day shortened my cycle and we conceived on the third cycle :) I'm going to still take it too, as there's no evidence of any harm from it and it might help the bean stick

ooh also it's helped with my weight loss- i was really struggling with it before but I've lost a stone since the beginning of March, which is very good going considering the NY break :) so it seems to help with PCOS overall rather than just cycles. and i think the last time i looked on amazon you can now get the specific one from the studies - d-chloro-inositol - but it's very very expensive!

I remember when you told me about it and I bought some myself, I did a ton of reading and I swear I found a couple of studies in the depths of google, that showed it could help conception - but these two were actually with the non d-chloro one, so perhaps they can both work!

I can't swallow tablets so I bought it in powder form from a muscle building website lol!!

In the US you can buy it in tablets with folic acid but I couldn't find it anywhere here, there is a European version but it only seemed to be sold in Italy, or I could find a ton of information/drug websites but no where to purchase it. I forget the name now.

So I read about buying it in powder form & gonna make milk shakes with it!

    Thanks claire16c

I must admit, I went down the route of the CBFM as I thought it was "the best thing" to do - but aside from peeing on expensive sticks every morning, it's not giving me a great deal of confidence despite being rather excited by it first of all.

I had a couple of days of EWCM around CD9 (ish) but as there was no peak, I guessed that I didn't OV.

So can any of you lovely ladies tell me how/when to temp or point me in the direction of a thread that tells me what to do and what the best thermometer is?

  • Sorry i've not been around in so long- Congratulations to all the BFPs I've missed- in particular the long-timers. It somehow seems so much more special when the long-timers graduate!

I've been taking inositol for the last two cycles and I haven't had cycles shortening but I have had more apparent EWCM... I have also been eating like the comfort seeking pig I am as well so have sadly seen no weight loss benefits... :o

Back to the 12 months thread for me now... :)

Code - you must be next! And birdie & tea and anyone else that's been here too long!!

    You too Becca x

Right, I have ordered inositol. That combined with forking out several grand on a three door car will definitely guarantee me a BFP this month, right?

Thanks tl if you don't mind me asking what did you notice whilst taking it? I don't ov at all and after years of trying am desperate to at least ov.

    Xx

Who'd have been killed? The baby is alive.

Can anyone remind me of the website where you chart your temperatures. While I'm waiting for AF (where the hell is it?) I may aswell start temping/opk'ing & stocking up on vitamins. Anyone know the cheapest place for Pregnacare Conception His & Hers?

    Thanks, SBD to all x

Sorry, on my phone so probably not clear. If the parents had been discovered with the baby, and had a child already, it's possible that both the parents and baby would have been killed. Not saying it's right to flush him down the toilet but desperate people do desperate things. It's so annoying that so many of us try hard and don't have the babies we desperately want and other people have babies when they don't want them or are not in the situation to keep them.

I've just cancelled zumba fitness class tonight because I'm in the key implantation days and had some cramps and I'm crazy and think it might shake the non-existent embryo loose from where it's not implanting into my uterus. Mental. I know that by the time my stupid egg jumped I'd probably have killed all the sperm but of course there's that tiny bit of my brain that wants it to be true.

That last bit! I never understand HOW anyone gets pregnant on their first time/random one night stand/miss a single pill - what are the chances when we're trying all we can (minus any issues of course) & we still can't hit that split second timing, lol. :o

Tl thanks for the info. I never get ewcm and my desire to bd has all but gone. Crying on the other hand I can do by the bucket load.

faith2009 hope you got your OH to BD last night :o

Thanks Becca. OH completely changed his mind - possibly as I was so miffed I didn't want it?! - so we did manage to BD in the end :D So basically we have tried combining the Egg meets Sperm plan plus cbfm this month. We managed to BD CD5, 7, 9, 11, 13 and 14 and had the positive on the 13th so did all we could. Hoping to BD one last time tomorrow (15) but I'm sure I felt OV pains yesterday afternoon - on both sides?! - so not too worried if we can't.

I'm another one looking at Disney holidays but really wishing i would have a little one by then...

    Hope everyone else is okay!

So are there lots of posters who are big into Disney holidays? Are we talking Euro Disney or Orlando and is it a fun holiday for a couple without children?

Gelly123 - it's possible that the CBFM isn't able to detect your ov as your hormone reading is not as different from the days beforehand? If you temp then having temperature spikes would confirm you have ov, so the fertility friend app/website would help you there. Have you requested a 21 day test from your GP? Tell them your concerns and they may send you for one.

Codemonkey - I know I shouldn't but I really laughed at your bad luck with girls names. How unfortunate. I too have a lot of boys/men in the family taking up lots of the names. Also our surname is a boys first name, so unless we pick a name that is very obviously a boys first name it will sound like it's the surname. For example, if our surname was James and we picked Mason as the first name, it would sound like his name was James Mason instead.

I don't usually symptom stop but I had a massive temperature drop this morning and I'm only 9dpo. We BD a lot at the right time, although we could have done it once or twice more around ov, and I'm so hopeful. However I'm a cynic and I'm sure I'm going to be disappointed.

    Morning all!

Please can I be updated to 1 DPO please :)

Due to badly timed work commitments for OH, we have only managed to BD last night so I'm a little worried that we have not given ourselves the best shot this month. However, it was the day of my first CBFM peak and I also sneakily used some conceive plus so hoping that this month I'll be one of those annoying amazon reviewers raving about my CBFM and conceive plus! :) he's away till the weekend now so no more opportunities either. Keeping my fingers crossed!

Hope everyone else is well and big hugs for everyone who is feeling pants. This TTC malarkey is so hard and I don't think anyone really understands it unless they have been through it or are going through it.

Kynthia - I'm also a big Disney fan and have been wondering about booking a trip to Orlando for my 30th latest this year. I've never been before and oh thinks its a holiday we should save for kids. However I mentioned this to a work colleague and she told me she had a better time going there as a couples holiday than she did when she took her kids....!

Anyway - really really late for work so better run! Have a great day all X
