Trying for a Baby Part 9

Well I had all the signs that we might have cracked it this month, elevated temps all through after ov, peeing more, headache, bloated belly, sore and heavier boobs and a blocked nose

Got my hopes up to be fair, my period is due monday but I have started spotting today

Smear test came back normal
Urine test came back normal

21 day bloods not so good proestrogen is supposed to be at 30 after ov and mine was at 12, have to test again just in case we got it wrong and then if not I will be referred, as she doesn't get why I have a +opk but such a low ammount of proestrogen

Doc doesn't know why I peed so much

Whats annoying is 5 yrs ago I was tested for everything an I was fine apart from my prolactin was raised due to my stress related illness, I seem to have got that under control and now apparantly according to this test I am not ov yes I have +opks and periods
Could my seizures make the results lower as I forgot to ask the dr?

When am I going to catch a damn break
I would give my right arm for a kid and yet its one thing after another, looks like thats my chanve of ever being a mom out!!!

Hubby wasblaming himself and now its my turn
Why am I being punished!

atton83 - try not to worry yet as one low progesterone reading doesn't necessarily mean there's a problem. Firstly it might just be that one month you didn't ovulate. You can still get positive opks and ewcm as your body builds up to it. Only elevated progesterone and the temperature spike it causes confirm ovulation took place. Also it's very possible the blood test wasn't taken on the right day. You possibly already know this but it's only taken on day 21 if you have a standard 28 day cycle. It needs to be done 7 days past ov (or possibly 7 days before AF, I'm not 100% sure). So maybe you missed your progesterone peak. Ask your dr if you can have a few tests next cycle. I had a sample taken on days 20, 22 and 24 to make sure I caught mine.

Fannyanna - I have to take my DH to all FS appt, it's a requirement. Might be worth phoning to check. They look at it as you are in this together, whether it's you or him that's the 'problem'.

Atton first you should make sure your test was done at 7dpo as looking on your charts you seem to ovulate around cd11 so by day 21 you'd be 10dpo & I don't know if that could make a difference or not. However it is possible to get a positive opk & not ovulate so if it was me I'd get the blood test done again and make sure it's at the right time.

With regards to your symptoms, you will only get stuff like that if you are producing hcg - in which case youd be getting a positive pregnancy test anyway. Hence why lots of symptoms like blocked nose, peeing lots etc only show up once you're maybe 6/7/8 weeks not 6/7/8 dpo when the egg would have only just been implanting.

You need to get your husbands sperm sample sorted too as just because one person has a potential problem it doesn't mean the other is exempt. Shouldn't he have his results by now? At least if it comes back ok you can stop wondering about it.

Kynthia - Dr said it has to be 7 days before af for the test so I have to rebook, it just seems one thing at the mo.

Clair16c hubby has just fin his course of antibotics so he has to wait till monday to get his urine tested to see if the infection has gone,
5 yrs ago he was told they woukd have to go through his balls to try to get a better sample but he keeps being told he has an infection so no results can be obtained and he has 3 courses of antibiotics now

My temp raises so its looking like I am ovulating,

I didn't think it would be this difficult, there was none of these problems last time the tests were performed so why are they here now?

Last period was a day of spotting and passing black clots, a day of med flow that stopped for 6 hrs and the 3rd day was another day of spotting and passing of red clots

This one so far is a day of brown goo with one red clot and thats it :eek:
I just don't know why everything is changing for the worse!
Do we need to just give it up and try to get everything removed as no babies no point of periods!
I am as regular as clockwork and normally its spotting and 2days of med flow and thwn anothwr day of spotting and then thats af done
How do I stlp beating myself up ?
How do youall cope so well ?
I feel a failure as a woman and just failing at life in general!

Atton. The test needs to be done at 7dpo, not 7 days before AF. Your GP has (stupidly but not suprisingly) assumed you have a 14 day LP.

Anyway, one result doesn't confirm anything so try again next month at the right time.

I've done a bit more research on my hubbie's SA and I now understand that he has a low sperm count. I think he needs another test to confirm but his GP just gave him his results, said the density was low and sent him on his way.

Hubbie doesn't see what the problem is as he has millions of sperm and we only need one. We just had words as I found the Wellman Conception vitamins I bought him weeks ago unused. He said he thought they were a weird supplement and not vitamins, and rather than talk to me or look further into it he just didn't take them or say anything! He's also whinged about dtd a few times even though we're only doing it every other day. I feel like he doesn't have a clue and thinks it will happen without him having to do anything or make any changes! :wall:

Kynthia, if you want to post his results you may be able to compare with others who have also had SA's done.

Remember though that one test for him is as useless as one test for us. He could be virtually infertile one week and have super sperm the next so try not to get too disheartened.
