True - I guess we have IVF these days, so at least there is another option. Probably more IVF kids than there were adoptions.

And surrogacy too I suppose. I suppose there are still lots of options for me - I need to remember that on the down days. I wish we had a dog though!

    Good to hear!

In the spirit of worrying about things that may never happen, I tortured myself by looking up adoption stats in the state I will go back to in Australia. Last year there were 98 adoptions - in a state of 7 million or so people.

13 were local, and 75 from other countries.

In the seventies the average was about 9500 per year. I'll say that to people when they say 'have you considered adopting, lots of my friends were adopted'. And yet oddly they can't think of anyone who has an adopted child.

People now tend to keep babies when they're teenagers dont they which is probably why the number in the 70s was so much higher.

Plus the ridiculous process you have to go through now.

I watched a show about it & this stupid social worker was seriously considering turning a couple down because they wouldn't commit to getting a dog & this pair of siblings said they'd like one. Most kids would like a dog it doesnt mean they would look back in 20 years time and say yeah glad we spent our lives in foster care, much better than a family with no dog... Luckily a man who was this woman's boss basically told her to stop dithering & get the process done.

    Sneezed alot today

Counted my loo trips through the whole day n night n I went 58 times

Today I was awake at 8am and since then I have been to the loo 15 times

Ive put on a lot of weight and ive not changed anything

Beem reading back and been laughing at the jaffa cakes and groaning at the other jokes

Hugs to those that need it. Was checking ff last night and ive had 2 weird cycles in a row and the nurse confused me after my smear

As she told me I cant test for pregnancy till the 24th of this month, how come you guys are able to test sooooo soon?

Dh has 2 more pills left and then he will be going back to the drs to see if he still has this damn infection. Thats 3 bouts of antibiotics now. Surely they do something different as obviously the pills aint working

Are you sure you don't have some kind of kidney or urine infection going to the loo that often is not normal & isn't a pregnancy sign. Were you actually going or just getting up to go as I can't see how your body could possibly produce wee that often?

You can test at 14dpo so you can test in 9 days not sure what your nurse is on about. By the 24th you'll have had your period already & be on a new cycle if you're 5dpo now.

Has your DH got his sample tested now as surely an infection won't affect his sperm count?

What's weird on ff about your cycle, it looks very normal to me, shows you ovulated etc

Maybe you should make the Jaffa cake & relax a bit! :)

You know that's not normal, right? Have you been to the quack's? Perhaps you have and you know what's going on but seriously, you shouldn't be weeing that much. Are you thirsty? Have you had a check for diabetes?

T2d are you sure of when you ovulated?

I had a weird month a few weeks back where I never ovulated at all and then randomly got AF out of nowhere. I read if you don't ovulate you either just have a really long cycle - which could be I guess so long that it would seem like you skipped one, or your hormones drop a bit like when you're on the pill, which seems to be what happened to me.

Sorry, didn't answer this. No, I don't know when I ovulated, just basing it on my normal cycle, and an illogical meltdown which I often have around the time.

The doctor is saying maybe stress etc maybe impacting it. But I was on holidays, super happy, I'm 10 weeks post op and more relaxed than I have been in about a year. I properly forgot about TTC, and we were just BD'ing for fun and to remember how to do it!

Of course I'm now googling for people who had BFN long after AF was due and then a BFP later. The wonderful thing about TTC is no matter what you ask, someone is already discussing it!

Yes that is so true! There's normally around 500 American women who asked the question first lol! I've typed in really specific stuff before and it still comes up!

The only thing is though there's always as many people who found whatever it is as a pregnancy sign as for those it wasn't so I rarely actually find an answer but it gives me something to read & hope for!

Thanks Claire and Becca re the OPKs. I'm the same cycle date as you Becca and mine had been faint but went completely blank yesterday. Here's hoping it's positive today.

The romance can fairly go when TTC. Last night I was being romantic and DH smelled so lovely I said I want to inhale you. He said I want to impale you! :rotfl: We were then both in fits, couldn't do anything for laughing!
