Ugh ladies. Having a bad day. I am so grumpy and the stupid dog is doing my head in. He's being so naughty and instead of DH backing me up when I discipline him, he just goes "aww but he's so cute"and gives him belly rubs, so the stupid dog wouldn't come or sit when we were out because he's learned that he just does big sad spaniel eyes and gets what he wants.
So really, it's not the dog bothering me, it's DH. He's going to be like this with any kids we have so I'm going to be the strict, rubbish one and he'll be the fun one and they wont listen to me because their dad lets them do what they want because they're so cute.
Was it India where mothers used to put a temporary mark on their babies to mar their beauty so they wouldn't be cursed with the evil eye? I might have to do that.
I know this is a small problem compared to others, but I felt like having a rant so I don't make DH and the stupid mutt sleep in the shed tonight so I can have a minutes peace!!
ETA: I meant to say earlier we use conceive plus too. I either rub it on DH or insert it using a syringe (from a kiddy nurofen bottle)Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -

Code, my dear, stop worrying about things that haven't happened yet. People change over time and in different situations. You will only get yourself into a mood!
Course, I NEVER do that. But seriously, life has enough worries without creating one that may not be there.
And give the dog a cuddle, he's only new and getting used to you both! You should make him love you more, and then tease your hubby about it! keep secret snacks in your pocket. Then you will always be the favourite. :rotfl:0 -

It was more a lighthearted rant to stop me going in a mood.
The dog is currently resting on the floor at my feet having had loads of cuddles and being told that he's the most beautiful dog in the whole world.
DH redeemed himself by making my dinner and buying me chocolate.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -
Good to hear!
In the spirit of worrying about things that may never happen, I tortured myself by looking up adoption stats in the state I will go back to in Australia. Last year there were 98 adoptions - in a state of 7 million or so people.
13 were local, and 75 from other countries.
In the seventies the average was about 9500 per year. I'll say that to people when they say 'have you considered adopting, lots of my friends were adopted'. And yet oddly they can't think of anyone who has an adopted child.0 -
Oh, and in another state there were 12 adoptions, of 130 people who were approved after a three year process. Quite depressing.0

I had this conversation with a friend of mine who upon hearing that we were having trouble, asked if we'd think about adopting - you know - "oh you can't have babies, why don't you just adopt". Even 30 or 40 years ago or so, single mothers were much more likely to give up their babies for adoption than now, meaning there were more babies. And IVF wasn't an option so for childless people it was the only option. Now there are less babies, and the kids that are for adoption have more problems and there are really strict guidelines, and loads of hoops to jump through so the process can take years and you can be disqualified for stupid things, like owning a Staffie. It kind of puts me off the idea.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0
