Catloverbex - Never had a cycle this long before, never more than a few days either way. Not getting my hopes up for a shy BFP because you'd assume that it would show at 6 weeks preg?

Twigpig - so should I start temping now? Never been in the realms of temping so not sure how it works, do you know of any good advice websites?

Afternoon everyone!

Fannyanna - I'm the same, definite increase in sex drive just before and the first few days of my period. More so than around ovulation time actually! Not sure why it is, maybe because of an increase in hormones or something? About putting things off in case of pregnancy, we're only on our third cycle of trying but I'm already guilty of doing it. So we're going to book a holiday for October and not dither about it. Also really want to go back to uni in Sept 2014, though that really is dependent on the baby thing!

Gelly123 - sounds like your grandad had a good send off. Enjoy your luxury pedicure as it sounds like you deserve it.

Codemonkey - hope Scamp is settling in well. Love the name by the way! Would love to see some more photos when you have the chance.

blondy24 - hugs for AF, very inconsiderate of it to start before the weekend! Not sure about OPK as I don't use them yet, but someone will advise.

Beautybutterfly - Not sure about the long cycle... I'm always of the opinion that if something isn't normal for you then it's probably best to get things checked out. Fingers crossed it's just a very shy bfp.

Babymad - yay for the peak! How are you finding the CBFM? I'm using if for the trial too and LOVE it!

squ1rrel5 - Slovenia looks beautiful, hope you have a lovely holiday. Hope you're not aching too much today after the gym.

catloverbex - glad the silent treatment worked and your oh has booked his tests. If they just did what we asked them in the first place then it would save so much hassle! Good that your bloods have come back normal.

Had a peak on the Clearblue monitor yesterday and today (CD11 and 12) so been a bit busy . Seriously considering using the vouchers from completing the trial on buying one (if it doesn't work this cycle of course! We've definitely put the work in this time). May just order some cheapie OPK first though and see how they go. Hope everyone has a lovely bank holiday weekend. Not got much planned, may have a trip to the sea on Monday if the weather holds out.

I'll guess 4 BFPs for the month please.

the reason you have an increased drive around your period is apparently because there's increased blood flow to the area so it makes it easier to get turned on and get off

we have our DIP (don't know if i said that) viewed and tried to buy the lovely house but another bid at asking price like ours and they asked us to increase but we said no. feel a bit bad now cos the vendor told me she was 'seriously considering' their offer then we got them into a bidding war, so if it wasn't for us they could have got it for much cheaper.
they won't regret it though, it is a lovely house.

4 more viewings this weekend, some of which only have a small back yard so not family homes but we've got years before a family clearly so i can indulge my love of cute little terraces til then :cool:

i like business class til baby, we have lots of money plans, or at least the petrolhead DH does! once we have a house i've promised he can get a bmw cos he's always wanted one. i've been putting it off because of a)savings and b) it would make it harder for us to survive on one wage. but looks like i'm not going anywhere so he's excitedly looking and doesn't really care about the house anymore, so i can buy what i want :rotfl: x

I'm also loving the cbfm! I used the cheap opk's for the first couple of months and whilst they did actually work I found them a lot more hassle to use and wasn't as confident in the results. I much prefer poas first thing in the morning rather than having to start preparing from 2pm by not drinking/weeing and rushing home to use the cheap opk - but then the cbfm did cost £85 with sticks and really does only give the same information but in a much clearer easier way so I suppose it's whether the hassle is worth £80 to you. You should also be able to sell it on afterwards to recover some of the money if necessary.

I have great confidence in my cbfm and it has made me relax a lot more this cycle safe in the knowledge we will dtd at the "right" time, let's hope the odds are in our favour this month!?

Teamlowe - i'm just in the process of selling a small mid terrace house which was a very happy home and good investment for 9 years so I can fully understand your love of terraces, happy viewing and I hope you find something you like!

I'm also guilty of not doing things "because I might be pregnant by then" and we have agreed to book our holiday last minute for the first time this year "just in case" :cool:

Hope everyone is enjoying the lovely weather today! I had the day off so of course spent it in a pub garden with a friend, really nice way to finish the week. Going to go shopping tomorrow to buy stuff for the garden, I didn't want to spend much on it before because of baby stuff but I figure screw that!
