so after thinking AF was imminent the other day, I've not seen a sausage. 2 weeks late tomorrow (friday), what the hell?!

Seriously thinking I've just never ovulated because I had another BFN on wed, if that's the case I guess i just wait and wait until AF arrives? Or do I go to the doctors to see if there is an underlying problem?

Often wondered about PCOS. I have a weight problem and I have acne which has got progressively worse over the last month?

    Any help/advice very much appreciated.

Are your cycles normally really regular?

Are you the positive was a positive - did the colour on the stick look as dark as normal?

I think I asked you before if you temp I think you said no?

All I can guess is that you didn't ovulate when you thought you did. I guess there's a chance a bfp isn't showing yet but seems odd to me as you'd be 6 weeks by now?

Purcy - what a cheeky mare, that woman at work. Can't believe that! SW class on a Saturday sounds like trouble for me. I'd get weighed then blow the rest of the weekend. :rotfl: I have a Monday class, so I know I have to be good at weekends as weigh in is coming……..

Squ1rrel5 - Slovenia sounds lovely. Lots of fresh air in the beautiful scenery….. I hope that you have good walking boots! :D

Sophiasmum - Any time I even go into a gp surgery, I feel old and yes, a lot of mums to be do seem quite young, but that probably just means I'm quite old! :rotfl: I agree about not stopping trying. We're the same. We'll keep trying and when it comes, it comes. :)

Beautybutterfly - Can't believe that you're still in limbo! I think you should consider temping so you'll know if you have indeed OV'd. I think as someone said earlier, it's perfectly normal to miss the odd OV, and also to have a long cycle out of the blue. The opk's tell you OV should be coming, but it's no guarantee it will happen……. The gp will probably offer very little help, but if you start temping and are missing more than the odd one, you can at least go to them with proof and they can help you. Not sure if that's at all helpful. :)

Catloverbex - Glad you have some sun - can you send some my way? Pretty please? :D

Picklekin - Oh, you did made me laugh….. :rotfl: Hope you found your pointy hat! ;)

Babymad - yay for the peak! Wonder what you'll be up to later……. ;)

Becca - Hubby was interested in how to get high on the int. analyzer on FF. I said I'm not sure, so I guess we'll see what the next couple of months brings. After some googling searching, it said if you get high, the change of fertilization for a 'healthy couple is 25%, for good, it's 10% and that's only the fertilization. I guess even timing BD'ing perfectly every month, still only gives you to a 25% chance of the sperm meeting egg, and then who knows what the percentage falls to when it still has to implant etc. It's a wonder any of us get pregnant………….
    TTC #3..........

    Morning All :hello:

Had a chat with Hubby last night and said I feel as though I've put all my eggs (no pun intended) into one basket with regards to TTC and haven't really lived my life for the past two years.

Rather than just moaning about it I need to do something about it. So the cogs are in motion and I'm starting to think about the things that I put off "because I might get pregnant".

I wondered if anyone else could empathise with this (I'm sure most lol) and out of curiosity (ok, I'm just very nosey :)) I wondered what others had been putting off.

For me the main things that spring to mind are:
    • We've recently booked a mini break. I had been umming and ahhhing about it because of the money but I finally relented and booked it.
    • We talked about having our bathroom re-fitted and then when I worked out how much it would cost I freaked out. Well I don't think there will be a baby anytime soon so we might as well go ahead with the bathroom plans.
    • Work. I've been unhappy at work for a long time and the thing that's got me through it is the hope of maternity leave. After two years I really should come up with a plan b. I've also started to think about my long term career prospects and I think I need to gain a qualification. So I'm now starting to think about what I can do going forward.

    I've delayed the following:
    1. Going back to uni to do my nurse training.
    2. Booking a honeymoon- we may need the money for a cycle of IVF and as much as we'd both love a holiday the thought of 'losing' that money to frivolity scares me as it would take years to save it back up.
    3. Skiing- i miss it so much but it's expensive...
    4. Changing job. Leaving an NHS maternity leave package is no easy feat-despite the odds of pregnancy being impossible...
    5. Losing weight- firstly it was because I knew I'd get bigger when pregnant. Now it's because I don't see the point in losing weight as it will make no difference at all.
    6. Any sort of social life. I rarely drank anyway but now I actively avoid social situations because I'm so down about everything.

Firefly- don't delay getting married if you want to get married. It's been the one thing that has helped me during this as it takes your mind off ttc and is something genuinely lovely that isn't anything to do with bloody babies!

My prediction for this month is 6 bfp.
  • I've had high chances on the FF predictor a couple of times but sadly it meant !!!!!! all... I ignore it now as it just unnecessarily gets my hopes up. Mind you- I'm not doing anything ttc wise at the mo other than multi-vits and bd. Feels weird not stressing about opks and temps... Will have no idea when af is going to arrive. It's due next Monday/ Tuesday I think- not that that means anything!

Morning All, so AF has arrived today in time for my 4 day weekend!! Sat on sofa with bad pains and hot water bottle despite sunny day outside. Was looking forward to some BD this weekend. Nevermind. Least we can track it better. Any ideas which are the best OVK to use?

Hope everyone enjoys long weekend and nice weather, hugs for those that need it.

Morning ladies, hope you are well?

What a gorgeous morning it is today - and the forecast is looking good for the rest of the weekend.

Sorry I've not been around much recently - have had loads to do preparing for the funeral.

Currently on CD25 and in the 2WW - I think I must have OV'd on CD15 or 16 as I had my first peaks on the CBFM both days.

Had Grandad's funeral on Wednesday - the sun shone and the sky was completely blue with warm sunshine - I know that was Grandad doing that for us - he was always such a keen gardener and his legs were always out in shorts at the drop of a hat! He was also pretty lucky to have won on the "pools" and was a regular winner at bingo and believe it or not, on Wednesday, just an hour before the funeral, I got an email from a local salon running a competition to say I'd won a luxury pedicure - I never win anything!!!! Thanks Grandad

Have got a very busy weekend ahead - last weekend we started converting my parents back garden into a "disabled friendly" one with raised borders so they can sit next to the beds and potter in the garden a bit. This weekend will be the start of the paving with my brother in law who's fab at DIY plus some work at ours on BH Monday - have booked Tuesday off to get over the busy weekend.

Hope you have a fab day and an even "fabber" weekend.

    Love Gelly

I don't really understand the logic behind it.

It makes sense why it would increase at ovulation but why AF?
