I have a period from hell. The worst cramps I've ever had (thank God for ibuprofen) and really heavy. I had to get up twice in the night last night and had to have a bath at 6am this morning. Just what you need when you've stayed at your parents house for the night.

I'm starting to think it's probably a good thing I didn't get pregnant as I'm struggling with the pain of these cramps so no idea how I'd ever manage labour!

Mincepie if you live in Wales you get it the letter for your 21st birthday. My birthday is in July and I left my Welsh uni in June so I always joke that I fled the country to avoid having a smear lol

Your first one is really anticlimactic, you get yourself all worked up and its like a two second thing with a bored nurse lol x

Lol! I was very naughty/silly as I am a bit older than you so got invited when I was 21 but ignored it as I was too scared. Then thru changed it to 25 so they never sent me anymore letters til then. Then at 26/27 I cant remember which, yes I was one of those people who saw what happened to Jade Goody & finally rang up & booked it. So ill be due one this summer.

Unfortunately as I was on the pill then I had cervical erosion & there was a bit of blood so I was lying there for about 5-10 minutes & she said she thought it would probably come back as invalid!! Luckily it didn't!

T2d - apparently I'm now involving him too much in the process. It seems showing him my weird pee (it was really cloudy) was too much for him.

I don't think I can help with the lists as I mostly access this place on my phone. Sorry.

Being Scottish, I got smear tests from 21 onwards. The first was horrible, but since they've switched to the new plastic things, it's been much easier. And as t2d has shown, it's so important to get them done on time.

My DH has seen my pee pot after I've used it a couple of times which doesn't bother him but once he almost stepped on it as I was leaving it for ten mins & I forgot it was in there! :rotfl: then the other week Id just peed & he came in the house with his mate & I had to quickly hide it under a cupboard incase one of them needed the loo!:rotfl:

CD1 please if you could add me to the list

ttc39We've got my bro, sis-in-law and niece and 2 nephews coming today cuz my bro got home from Falklands this week after a 5 month tour so a day of celebration - I've got LOADS of baking in the oven (which cushions a nasty AF a little)

Hopefully all the rest of you ladies are having lovely chilled out weekends!!

If I was that bored I'd clean my own house :rotfl: Also just had to tell a rescue that we're not interested in a dog they suggested so feel bad.

Wish I'd just hurry up and ovulate. This waiting for ov stuff is so frustrating.

All this talk about smear tests is making me really not looking forward to tomorrow... I have a BUPA well woman check (paid for by my work) where you get poked and prodded to within an inch of your life, including a smear and pelvic exam. The doctor is male, because I'd have had to wait much longer for an appointment with a female doctor. Plus I can't eat for six hours before it due to blood tests. I will have to buy myself a present on the way home to get over the trauma.

    hi ladies
Can't believe its 5pm on a Sunday already....where does the weekend go?
my AF arrived today, we were hoping to test this week as not been feeling myself for the last 2 weeks or so. Nevermind, roll on next cycle! I thought I would give the ovulation tests ago this cycle after reading about them. Couldn't believe the prices of them when looking online!! Anyhow, popped into town this afternoon and wandered into boots and saw them - half price. (clearblue) roll on end of AF and to BD again! :-)
Proud mummy to an amazing 8 year old!
