Congrats vic that's wonderful hope you have a nice smooth journey x
  • Thanks for sharing your story fluffnutter. I'm still not sure about IVF. I know the physical process is something I can cope with (I'm a science freak so that side I find really interesting). It's the emotional side that I don't think I'll deal with so I'm really not sure if it's something I can consider putting us through. We're going to have a good talk about it today as OH isn't dealing well with it- he went out on Thursday and got leathered and came back home a total mess (we rarely drink so seeing the state he was in was something of a shock!).

It's just a massive shock. I went into OH appointment believing 100% I was the 'problem' (he wasn't convinced) and that clomid was the cure. The consultant said the results in such a flip way, scanning through the notes and then basically saying 'your SA results are surprisingly low (OH is a healthy living fitness freak/ ex- personal trainer...) here's the IVF form for you both to fill in'. Seriously- that was it. I know it's not a life threatening condition/ illness or anything like that but I thought it might be broken in a more gentle manner!

BZ. I have posted a few times on the 12+ thread so I think I will start a bit more. I'll be stalking your fostering journey. It's something I've considered for years but have put off with this whole TTC rigmarole... There's an adoption/fostering meeting being ran by our local council at the end of April which we hope to go to.

Congratulations Vic!! Hope you have a happy and healthy pregnancy.

Teaandcakeordeath - think some doctors forget that they're dealing with actual people with feelings rather than just a patient number. It's a lot for you to take in xxx

Could I be updated to CD1 please? AF decided to show up in the night, which is really inconsiderate. Still early days for us in the scheme of things, so onwards and upwards. We've got loads of snow here (not normally one to complain about 9 inches!) so planning on hibernating with a duvet, hot choc, lots of crisps and some trashy TV! Hope you all have a lovely weekend.

Vic - :j:j:j:jCongratulations.:j:j:j:j I had a feeling when you stopped temping:cool: Very happy for you:beer:. Best of luck.

    Ruth - Hugs for cd1.

TCD - Don't know what I can say. Sometimes doctors are very insensitive. Thinking of you.

Samtoby - I use to torture myself with all the programmes like that but the longer we go without getting pregnant the harder it is to watch them.

Claire - We had lots of snow overnight, don't want to go out the front door today but have to work....boo hiss.

BZ - Good luck with the fostering.

I'm going to be having a very similar day Ruth I've just got Gossip Girl ready on net flix! We've only got about 1cm & although its still snowing what is there is melting & the roads are fine. I just won't be going out cos I'm a soft southerner who hates the cold :rotfl:

Teacake, that's awful about the dr. Maybe you could put your names down for ivf incase the waiting list is horrendous & just think about it in the meantime but know you can decide later?

    Congratulations vics.

Afm no such luck. Spotting again so AF is is imminent.

Also this stupid snow (which we've had for 3 weeks ya southern softies) means we haven't been able to visit any dog rescues.
