Just blood tests. DH wants to try for a little longer before we get help. I think the idea that we might not do this without help is too emasculating to him.

Sigh. Anyway work have done something to further lower my already rock bottom morale and now I'm no longer sad. I am, in fact, incandescent with rage. I'm actually starting to think work related stress is not helping but I can't afford to give up work.

Code it seems to me like you need to have a big talk with your DH. Why should you go for tests and take on all the worry?

Youve been trying for long enough to warrant getting a SA. I think if I was in your position I would be telling my DH to go and get it done and no more discussions over it. Just do it.

Whats the point in going on for years trying and feeling more and more upset IF there was a problem with his sperm? There may not be at all, but I think knowing would help your stress levels because at least if it comes back to say its all good, you can be positive in that respect.

It seems to be from what you say, that he is not helping in respect to bding( I know you said he had a pyschological issue - can he get help with that?), he isnt going for the tests, and you say its even hard to get him to take vitamins.

I think you need to sit him down and ask exactly how long does he want to wait? You need a firm date and if nothing has happened after that, you WILL be going to the dr and he needs to 'man up' about it.

Sorry if this is harsh but it makes me frustrated for you. I dont think you should ever give up on a dream until youve exhausted all options and you haven't done that yet by any means. Its better to look back and know you tried everything that wonder 'what if?' I think that could lead to major resentment.

Mrs T_M - You are going to be super fit with all that exercise. I am hoping to learn to swim this year but I am kinda scared of deep water.

I don't know about super fit, but I do want to tone up. Did the wrong thing of trying to jump back in with both feet so to speak and tried to complete my old routine first day. Ended up straining my knee again, so I'm having to take today off. :(

Hopefully I'll be able to go tomorrow morning while DH is sleeping late and do what I can on the elliptical or stationary bike and a relaxing swim. Might even take a dip in one of the hot tubs to help my knee.

I definitely agree with the following:

firefly - go for it on the swimming. I used to teach an adult swimming class and it may seem daunting but you'll benefit so much from it. My beginners class was only about 5 people, so you really got to give each person 1 to 1 attention.
I had a lady who had booked a holiday with her kids and wanted to surprise them by being able to snorkle with them when they went.
She came on leaps and bounds, from being terrified to being able to swim a length unaided over a couple of months.

It still amazes me that we allow children to grow up without learning to swim.

If you must, try to find a place to learn where the pool is only 4-5 ft deep. The one at my gym is 1.25m, which is approx 4.1 ft deep across the entire thing. Sometimes just the knowledge of being able to stand up anywhere in it helps with the learning bit. Once you learn some of the strokes, your confidence will definitely go up, which will allow you to go into deeper and deeper waters. Even though I know the different strokes, I still prefer doggie paddle. :rotfl:I hate getting water up my nose or my face wet.

Also, huge hugs for CD1 Becca!

Claire - sorry my post about DH should have said physiological problems not psychological problems. Psychologically he's fine, aside from marrying me of course. I've learned over the course of our relationship not to push things with him because he's very stubborn and once he's made his mind up about something you can't change it. Last time we talked we decided to get help in 6 months and I want my weight to be down so the doctors can't use that as an excuse.

Yay for the ladies on the cb trial. Hope it leads somewhere.

Sorry for cd1 becca. Hot water bottle and chocolate for you.

    Hi ladies,

I've been missing in action for a while as finding things a bit tricky after my loss last month. Trying not to obsess over TTC so much, so am taking a little step back from the boards etc while I get my head ok again etc.

Am finding new things to obsess over instead :D Like my facepainting business and I also make signs/plaques so I am doing a range for mothers day etc. Hopefully the new obsession will make money as well

I got on the clear blue trial too - thanks again Claire for the heads up about it all. Hoping not to get to next cycle tho, natch

With that in mind I'm 2DPO please becca. DTD 3 times over ov so fingers crossed we've done enough. Even had some EWCM this month, only v small amounts but its the first I've had since my mmc in May last year so I am really hoping its a sign that my body is working a little better now after the chemical pregnancy last month.

Big hugs to those who would like them, and that the witch has caught.

Congratulations to the BFPs I missed too.

And hello to the newbies :hello:
 Married my lobster in July 2011

TTC # 2 since Oct 2011 - good things come to those who wait :o

 2013 is going to be our lucky year

That's good you have set that time hopefully you'll be pregnant before that but if not at least you've got a date in time to focus on.
