Angel treats try giving them a call on the number Skint posted.

I just rang them back and I've been accepted! She said you start the trial on the first day of your cycle so ill have a whole cycle before that to try so at least if this coming cycle doesn't work it will give me something to look forward to. And if the clear blue cycle doesn't work she said you get £50 love to shop vouchers so I can go buy something to cheer myself up.

She didn't ask me anything about breast feeding Unless maybe from the information we've given them they only ask if you have children I guess I can't remember what I've told them now.

I also had that email from Clearblue and replied to say I was still interested, but I've only gone and left my phone at home today :( Gutted. I might reply and give them my work number.

Send them an e-mail with your work number, or if you get home and see a missed call from the number Skint posted, ring them back!

Why would it bother us? I think it will quite interesting to see if the people with the new type get pregnant faster than the others.

Feeling a bit down about this again. I've tried so hard to be positive and tell my body that it is happening but it's just not is it? People are having their second or third babies and I haven't even had two lines on a pregnancy test, well not 2 lines that aren't a control line and a devastating evap. This sounds horrible and I cant believe I'm about to put this out there but it feels like I've done everything possible and my tests are normal and my cycles are ok so maybe if I'd tried with someone who isn't DH, I'd be pregnant. I love him and I choose him over some unconceived, imaginary baby. I was thinking about fertility treatment - iui might be helpful for us as would ivf, but I can't imagine putting us through all that for what is pretty much the same success rate as a natural cycle.

Maybe it's time to accept that it's not something that is going to happen to us and that our life as it stands is ok. If we don't have kids our house will be ok for us, we can go on holiday when we want to and hopefully in time that baby shaped hole will be less obvious. My eyes are filling up typing this and I can't cry at work because I don't have my makeup bag.

Eta. Sorry for bringing the thread down. Just needed to share this where people will get it.

oh code some very very large hugs to you, don't know what to say other than i've felt that way before and it really really hurts

and i've got to say that whilst the stats don't look good for a general treatment route, i don't think i could give up on my baby dreams without knowing that i'd tried all i could to get there. the what ifs when i'm still broody at 45 i think would tear me apart.
and please research your local clinic - i was quite suprised to find that mine boasts a 51% clinical pregnancy rate* from IUI for my age range.

*heartbeat seen and embroy in correct place at 6 weeks.

I don't really see the point of a separate 'CB Trial' thread either, we've already got ladies on here chattering about CBFM, Duo, normal OPKs etc so it's not much different is it? :)

Huge hugs for feeling so bad Code. :( I was just checking back to see how long you've been TTC, forgot that you asked Becca to put 'Since time began'! :p I haven't been trying as long as you but get how you feel, I'm at the stage where I'm fed up and trying to think about the possibility of a different, childless future, just in case! :o

I've had those terrible thoughts about compatibility too. My tests all seem to come back fine, OH has super sperm... maybe my eggs and his sperm just aren't made for each other? :( I wouldn't leave him over it because he's the world to me, but it does make you wonder how easy we'd find it to have kids if we were with other people...? Look at 2ba3c, she was trying for ages with one donor with no success, switched donors and boom, she was PG! :)
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

Absolutely. And the first donor had already fathered other children. It's a dangerous path to go down though. I don't want to be in the position where we resent or blame each other when this doesn't happen. There might be million reasons why it's not happening. I don't know. To proceed with fertility treatment I need DH to accept there's something wrong and he's still in ostrich mode while I'm very aware that while I wait, the clock keeps ticking.

I've tried everything I can. Opks, agnus castus, soy, raspberry leaf tea, maca root, b vitamins, red clover blossom infusions, apple cider vinegar, progesterone cream, conceive plus and anything else I can think of, I wear a rose quartz bracelet (largely because it's pretty). I haven't always been overweight but failure=comfort eating. I've largely given up caffeine which earns me funny looks from my colleagues because we're systems developers and we all exist on caffeine. I don't drink much. I dont smoke. I've tried everything that's within my control and I still have trouble getting DH to take his vitamins.

Teamlowe - I would take those statistics with a pinch of salt. The NHS will soon be stopping funding IUI for anyone (as far as has so far been suggested) because It doesn't give an increased chance of conception against natural methods. All it does it give a couple the same chance as normal healthy people have which is what, approx. 25%?
If we don't conceive this month or next, the next step for us will be IVF as it'll cost us the same as IUI and has a much better chance of success for someone like me.

Code - Massive Hugs. I'll send you a PM.

8dpo for me and crying at the European Athletics on TV. Such a loser.

Lily where are you intending to go (if you don't mind me asking) where IVF is the same price as IUI? or is it with egg sharing? think if the NHS doesn't do much for us then i'll be going the same route as TTC40 and having follicle tracking, which looks fairly inexpensive.

i think it's a bit misleading to compare a live birth rate of 25% from IVF to 'natural conception of a healthy couple' rate of 25%. the conception rate of assisted conception is much higher but unfortunately miscarriages happen, possibly even more so if the underlying reason for infertility is related to a higher rate
this is the clinic i was looking at:
