crappy doctors, I know they can't know everything about everything but I think the NHS really needs to consider rolling out some kind of up to date fertility training to their gp's as they all seem to be working on the idea that all women have the "perfect" cycle with the "perfect" 14 days between ov and af. As we all know on here thats as rare as hens teeth.

    Debt-free and Proud!
Hi everyone, sorry I've not been posting very much - with not being allowed to TTC this month I've felt a bit of a fraud. Still been lurking though and wanted to give big dodgy hugs to all in need :grouphug: especially (off the top of my head, so sorry if you're missed) those caught by the witch, with unco-operative OHs, feeling a little under the weather, struggling with weight or other health issues, T2D, Mrs T M and Atton. Also thinking of you QQ, if you're lurking

I think you and I have exactly the same issue purcy! I too would be delighted to get to 8 dpo with no spotting. I'm keeping my fingers firmly crossed for you, even if its just for a longer lp!

Any suggestions on when I should book the test for?

  • Purcy - Glad to hear the bunny is doing better. Its annoying when the timing is off for ov,then there is all the waiting until you can try again next cycle. Exact same thing happened to me this cycle.

Vic - Ask for more than one test during your cycle. During my first round of 21 day tests my doc had me draw blood every 7 days from cd21 until the end of my cycle....my cycles can be long. See if they will let you test a day or two before af. My 21 day test has never been 7dpo because of one reason or another.

Atton - Probably best to get checked out by a doctor. Try and stay away from Dr Google. Hope you feel better soon.

    Still no AF here.

Question for ladies who don;t always ovulate - on the cycles when you don't, are those longer cycles? I wondered if I'm not on yet because I didn't seem to OV this cycle? Does that mess it up?

On the plus side, I was going to wait three cycles before TTC again but at this rate it will only be two! :rotfl:

I'm currently on my first anovulatory cycle since my AF came back when I came off Depo. Prior to this they were actually regular to within 1-2 days. So far I'm on CD36 and getting more and more fed up waiting.

I had quite a bit of ewcm today though so will be BDing shortly just in case :rotfl:

Great idea. I wish I could but because of the nature of my work, I can barely get time off. Shall I book for the Monday (6 days to af)?

I agree. It's shocking how little some of them seem to know about menstrual cycles. It's pretty basic stuff. They should do the course on FF about cm & hormones & charting etc!

Could you do that & then also book a test 7 days later too?

Hey all. Been very quiet but still lurking.

Big hugs to all those caught by the witch. Last day tomorrow for feb bfp's. hopefully hear another one or 2.

Afm I'm bored. Not been feeling the best. Feel very tired all the time and achey. Work is boring as there is not a lot going on. I'm just really fed up. I just want it to be a week later so I can either test or af is here. Testing would be preferable :)

It would be too much hassle to be in late twice...
I think I'm gonna book for the Monday. What will happen when/if it shows I haven't ovulated or only just ovulated?
