As a miscarriage veteran, and someone currently under St Mary's Recurrent Miscarriage Clinic, I can tell you it's pointless taking baby aspirin.

If you have a thrombophiliac blood clotting disorder that is causing your losses, then baby aspirin alone won't be enough to thin your blood sufficiently to stop the loss occurring.

If you don't have such a condition, there is no need for baby aspirin and your loss/es are cuased by something else.

Gps will say it's OK to take it because it won't do any harm, and the placebo effect could keep you calm and relaxed enough for yu not to be constantly stressed in early pregnancy.

But it won't make any difference to the outcome of your pregnancy.

Sorry. I know it would be nice if it did, but it doesn't.

Thank you for your honest reply.

Unfortunately i have no reason as to why i have MC as my GP seems to be brushing them under the carpet...... that is until i see him next and demand the scans i never had.

It would be lovely of course x

I need to book my 21 day ( ha yeah right!) bloods this month. The doc told me to book in a week before af is due to arrive. This will be on a Sunday. So, should I book for the Friday or Monday? Please bare in mind that I only usually ovulate 7 days before af starts.
    All suggestions/opinions appreciated please x

Hugs to all those that AF got this month. Sorry to hear the BFN Becca.

Anyone else find when they stopped the pill they had loads of spots?

I always get spots at certain times of my cycle but I did find the first month coming off the pill I had a huge breakout, was like being a blooming teenager again. I just put it down to my body adjusting to it all. Though my skins still not the same, queue spending a fortune on lotions and potions to try to make it better :o

    Hugs to Bambisbelle for CD1

Atton - that sounds awful!! Really hope you feel better soon

Becca - hopefully the fact AF hasn't showed up is a good thing. Can you put me down on the Testing list please for this saturday ( 2nd ) AF is due Friday so hoping Sat might be a good day to test if she doesnt turn up

Skint my last anovulatory cycle was 2 months long. It's like my body reset itself and I ov'd at the time I'd expect to the next month.

Firefly it's not really a proper fast. I get 500 calories to eat which is rubbish but I can have some soup for lunch and the either more soup or something really low calorie for dinner. Not a huge ready meal fan but sainsbugs have a spinach and ricotta canneloni thing which comes in at 349 calories so I am eating lunch and dinner. It's not as bad as you'd think and the fasts are on non consecutive days so I know I can have some proper food tomorrow.

Becca sorry about your dodgy cycles.

I'm on that diet too. Usually I make some low cal soup and eat it throughout the day but today I fasted all day and just now I had a baked potato with tuna and a teeny bit of mayo, plus a quarter of a lettuce.

I'm finding it OK but I've only been doing it two weeks.

You have to have three in a row before they will send you for tests. Which totally sucks.

Blood clotting disorders are one of the most common reasons for recurrent miscarriage. If you have more questions they might be better on the miscarriage thread (it might be buried a few pages back) as it can be upsetting for people on here to read :) Happy to chat to you on there.

Thanks Claire, sorry wasn't sure whether to update you or not as I know you said you thought it had stopped.

I didn't even bleed properly. TMI but I had 2 smears of brown blood and a small blob of red. Then it totally stopped. If nothing by Fri I'm going to ring the clinic.

Skint, when I've had anovulatory cycles (quite a few over the last year) they have lasted quite a while. Sorry :(

Yeah it took a while to start there was about 24 hours with nothing after spotting!

Hmm that's tricky. I think that test is to check if you've ovulated so it should be 7 days after ovulation. But if you're starting AF then...

Did you tell the dr this?

I don't know if you should book it for 7dpo & if you bleed explain that's what's happened or you should book it 7 days before & the test will likely say you haven't ovulated - because you only ovulated that day.. Confusing maybe someone else will be more helpful sorry!

I did tell him this. He repeated that I should test 7 days before af starts. Helpful eh?
What happens if the test shows that I haven't ovulated?

    Hi Ladies

I wanted to say thanks for your kind words yesterday it really was a crummy day! On the upside after being told yesterday at the vets that my bunny probably wouldn't make it through the night he's back home looking as cheeky as ever after an (expensive) evening of intravenous fluid and drugs so yay!

Also I have made it to the end of 8dpo without spotting which has never happened to me before so am really pleased ( as mentioned earlier if I discard the rogue temp it puts me at 10dpo which is even better!) temp took a nosedive this morning though so spotting may start imminently but still feeling positive about it as its a step in the right direction as feeling that ac is doing something.

Hugs to all those the witch caught I think I'll be joining you soon as BD timing wasn't great this month.
