    Hi,

Joined the Cheap Energy Club and was about t switch to first:utility but your quote says £70 cash back after 3 months, however, when I click through to switch it says £40 cash back available.
    Which is correct?
I cannot see on your Cheap Energy Club pages how cash back is paid.
How do I get cash back? Does it come automatically after 3 months and if so who from or do I need to go through Topcashback or similar.

Cashback is never guaranteed until it is in your bank account.
    - That's what MSE Martin says!

Apply, and let us know in several months what cashback, if any, you get :)

The Cheap Energy Club is no different to other comparison sites,
I don't think you understand what the energy club this is all about do you? ;)

It uses the data from MoneySuperMarket.com (but it could equally use data from any other accredited comparison site as they should all give the same results) but this energy club offers something very different indeed - monitoring and alerts of cheaper tariffs as they become available.
  • Perhaps I am missing the point of this club.
I'd rather know if I am getting it wrong so I can take advantage of the cheaper rates.
isn't the point of a cheap energy comparison to offer rates that are cheaper than you are currently being charged?
Okay, they are going to monitor the energy pricing for me on a regular basis, but if I am being offered a 'saving' on a comparison rate which is 4p higher than I actually pay, how is that right?

If the comparison is done by comparing with a rate that I don't actually pay, how can this be a true comparison?

I just joined the club and it says that I am already on a cheap tarrif.
    I am with scottish power.
I've just had my bill for the last quarter, although I pay monthly direct debit.
I'm in credit by £184 (both gas and elec combined)
When I filled in the registration form for the club, asking for details, I did not put in what I pay monthly.
That is because it's winter and I am using more electric and gas.
I will probably have to get my monthly payments reduced.
When they notify you of a cheaper tarriff, I assume that they also tell you if there is an early exit fee?
  • I tried to register for Cheap Energy Saver Club but when I entered my postcode and address I was told that you do not quote for energy users in Northern Ireland. :(

    Why??

There are now about 6 different energy suppliers in Northern Ireland. Why are 1.8m energy users in Northern Ireland not being given the chance to save money on their bills?

Can MSE Forum Staff let me know if Cheap Energy Saver Club will now include energy companies from Northern Ireland?

I want to save money on my energy bills too like the other UK residents!!

Do you know of any accredited comparison site that offers this online?

The suppliers that supply the rest of BG do not supply NI, and the few suppliers that supply NI do not supply the rest of GB

Do you really have 6 different energy supplier in NI. I only know of 4 and none of those offer more than 4 different tariffs - and at least one only has one tariff.

I'd be surprised if you had more than ten possible different traiffs to choose from in total.
