The Club idea sounds interesting (especially if it does save money).

However, I've tried putting my details in and there is no option to record payments by Standing Order. I try to avoid DDs so I stay in control, so can this be added as another option or do we enter payments as DDs and try to agree to use a SO with any new supplier?

You won't find many suppliers or tariffs that will accept payment by SO.

If you don't wish to agree to pay monthly by DD, then I suggest you chose pay quarterly on receipt of bill.

At the last count, it was estimated that over 90% of the worlds PCs run on Microsoft - deal with it ;)
PC's are no longer the whole story, it is browser's. And IE's percentage is dropping like a stone for good reasons. This site is produced by professionals, and web standards have existed for many years now...

I just did a check and it says incorrectly eon Track and Save 14 has Early exit fees: £30 (it has none)

    my results:
Hurrah! You can save £112 a year by switching to the top dual fuel deal
Savings on what you would've paid £112/year
    Estimated New Costs £-78/year

Can anyone explain what the difference between the two figures is? Surely if I'm paying £112 less my new costs would also be -£112 where does the -£78 come from?

Unable to register with this new site - anyone else having the same problem. Bit glitchy!

I failed using IE but succeeded with Firefox!
  • Hi,

I was trying to register for the club, only to find that my energy plan isn't in the list. But when i tried to let you know, outlook starts on my laptop to mail you guy's. But i don't use outlook for mail of anysort, so thought i'd post on here instead.

My plan is EON SaveOnline 10 for both Gas and electric.

I have signed up to the Cheap Energy Club and it seems I can save £200 by switching to Scottish Power but the saving is on a combination of my 2 meters. Can I switch the two online or would I have to phone Scottish Power and deal direct?

What, and you've added the two separate accounts together?

You can't be serious. How do you think a supplier would ever handle that?
  • I have joined the Cheap Energy Club this morning and having been told I can save over £250 per year, I began to look at the tariffs offered.
As I have found with ALL comparison sites, when I look into the prices further, none of them give the correct price I am paying at the moment. for example, I am with Atlantic and I currently pay 12.12p per unit, but the price comparison savings on offer today, are suggesting I currently pay a price of 16p per unit. They are not correct!
The Cheap Energy Club is no different to other comparison sites, when you look further into the offers, they are not offering true and accurate comparisons.
It is absolutely no good just putting in your current usage and taking their word for any savings you can make - you need to compare the unit price being offered to you with the unit price you are currently paying.

I tried to join but my electricity tariff isn't shown & when I clicked on the link provided to let site owners know, nothing happened
The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.

I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.

    Hi,

Joined the Cheap Energy Club and was about t switch to first:utility but your quote says £70 cash back after 3 months, however, when I click through to switch it says £40 cash back available.
    Which is correct?
I cannot see on your Cheap Energy Club pages how cash back is paid.
How do I get cash back? Does it come automatically after 3 months and if so who from or do I need to go through Topcashback or similar.
