did you create a new identity for your son or add another account to your own.
The new identity is the way to go.
You could even try using a completely different client for you son - something like thunderbird0 -
The new identity is the way to go.
I've had alot of problems with Outlook Express Identities, imo the best way to keep the email's separate is to create a whole computer logon for your son.
Another idea could be to have both accounts within outlook, but add a rule to move email sent to "myson@wherever.com" off to a new folder.
Personally I'd go with the first option.Blah0 -

Its definitely an option but I have to say I have never had problems running multiple identities under a single logon. Your idea would also have the benefit of their own my docs etc but if they didn't want to do this and didn't want to play with identities I still think one using OE and the other Thunderbird would be a good compromise0 -
How do I set up multiple email addresses?
Taken from Virgins web site.
You can have up to five email addresses with Virgin Media. One primary and four additional. To set up your additional address you must register it with our server.- Visit the web page http://www.virgin.net/customers
- Select 'Multiple email accounts', from the options in the left hand column.
- Once you have registered your additional addresses with the server, you will then need to set up your email program to download emails for this new address.
- If need help setting up Outlook Express or Netscape Communicator click here. Select your email program from the PC or Mac list and follow the link for 'How do I set up my account?'
To check if your settings are correct. Open outlook express, click on tools, accounts, highlight your e-mail name, on the right click on properties and then you should see the information for the e-mail account you have set up
I have nothing better to do!!!!

Just asking because they are two different solutions - mine would give separate e-mails were as dans would allow you to have different e-mails and my docs etc0

See Creating Outlook Express identities.
You can have the best of both worlds by having separate Windows accounts for each user and set up the OE identities so that each user can access their own email regardless of who's logged on. That's something you could do once the identities are set up.0 -
