Hi, just an update on the query that I had.. I called capital one this morning and they've said the Classic Card has been approved and I should get a PIN in 3-5 working days followed by the card. Just thought I'd add this in case anyone else had the confusing link pop up during the application that Capital One recommend they have the Classic and not the Secured card.

Finally got the pin for the aqua card... now I just need the card. Longest process ever.0

Oooh, nice.

That after a 5.9% soft-search quote from Nationwide on loans, too.
I think my work is done
I took out the AMEX Cashback via Money Supermarket so it comes with 13 Months 0% on purchases. I'm therefore slow stoozing my spend into an HSBC Regular Saver and anything above the £250 / Month limit on the reg saver can go into an ISA.
Happy easter everybody!Cashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48

Oooooo good job izools. Loving your work!

Let us know what your limit is...I spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. Worked for indies as well as the big networks, in their stores also in contact centres. I also hold a degree in telecoms engineering so I like to think I know what I’m talking about 😂0 -
Job well done. Whoop Whoop0

Will see what limit they give me next week

Annual spend is about £8,000 - £10,000 (I've already earned £100 via my Aqua Reward and only took it out in December) but somehow I doubt they'll give me anywhere near that much...Cashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48

Just checked, only offered a £2,000 limit. Hrumph. Guess I won't be able to stooze much at all

Still room for improvement in my credit rating then!

I only got £2.6k myself. I'm not impressed at all!
I thought AMEX gave bigger limits than that. I haven't activated the card yet though, I'm going to ask for an increase on activation and see what they say. For customers in the USA you can normally get triple your credit limit after 61 days and then another triple 6 months after that so it might not be too bad after all...0 -
The chap I spoke to confirmed they won't review credit limits until you've been a customer for six or more months, which seems in keeping with all other UK credit cardsCashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48
