thats OK - its the brand new bit thats the problem. you cannot call something 4 years old brand new just because you have not used it. Glad I have helped.John0

Yes I did sell it in the new section as I haven't opened the box. It was brand new.

I did really spend alot of energy on this problem. I will call it a strong lesson to me.
I am hoping to resolve it with Amazon on Monday otherwise I will request the ipod back.

What if I paid and the item I received isn't the same Ipod I sent him? So it is a matter of luck then I guess.0
