Book price for sons car?
Hi, i dont know if anyone has access to glass guide prices that the insurance companies use to help decide payout for total loss. My sons car was written off on friday (no one seriously hurt ), and middle of next week i expect admiral to make an offer. I have checked autotrader, ebay etc to see what a similar car may go for private and trade but would like to know what their guide says. Its a fiat punto 1.2 8v active with 110,000 miles on the clock. Condition is average i would say, 11 months m.o.t, serviced the day it was written off!!! well maintained and mechanically sound as verified by the fact the AA paid out on a breakdown claim last year and they only pay out if car is maintained correctly.
I have paid 3.95 for the online glass valuation but this is different to the physical book and apparently holds no weight when negotiating

Have a read of this link which is how Admiral should handle the write off.

If there are any modifications however minor that have not been declared then it can be a problem with Admiral0 -
I would expect their offer to be around £400 - £600. Whats the excess though?Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
