But… and it’s a big but, DO NOT PAY UNTIL SURE OF COMPANY LIGITAMENCY.
I would like to here your thoughts on my experience.

Welcome to MSE
It would be better and easier for you to just ignore it - if there's no registration number then how are they going to follow you up? Even if they do manage to write to you to request payment you're within your rights to ignore it, after all, what damage/loss did you cause by parking in what is probably a free car park for 10 minutes?
The police I doubt will be interested unless it's a clear case of fraud. You'd be best off just ignoring it - search our forum for previous instances of this PPC and how they go away and leave you alone when they realise you won't pay up.0 -
Why bother, the BiB will just smile and say civil matter. Best thing to do is move on, ignore it and do not contact them/respond to contacts. File all in a drawer and after about 6 begging letters they'll give up.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

Thanks for posting about it here, each post viewed adds to the knowledge of more MSEers who are fast learners about these scams by private parking companies.
My view is you sentence in bold should just read 'DO NOT PAY'.
There are no legitimate 'fines' from ANY private parking company - surely you would not pay it even if you found out the company was registered with the BPA or whatever. It is just a demand for payment, for no service provided, and with no legal backing that any Court would recognise. That's why they THREATEN Court but don't actually take people to Court.
The whole PPC industry is based upon unlawful practices - and hopefully with the info now readily available on the internet and reaching the public domain via the national press, radio etc., the whole industry is poised to come crashing down. Get a real job quick, PPC workers!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
