Hi, i have recently received a parking ticket from the same company, it seems the compnay 'EFPN' is still opertaing! I notice the above are from tockets issues last year, I wondered if anyone had any feedback for me on what has come of their unpaid fines? Many Thanks0

They are not fines, they are invoices.0

Go and read on Pepipoo forums.Happy chappy0

Unless this occurred at a railway station or was issued by / on behalf of a council, this 'ticket' is NOT a fine.
It is an invoice, sent by a group of chancers / bullyboys, trying to extort money out of the vulnerable members of society.
There is NO moral or legal obligation to pay these invoices. In fact, if you do, you will be contributing towards the criminal underworld, as these ticketing companies
are often connected with drug dealing, or other parts of the criminal underworld.
Go to forums.pepipoo.com as others have said, the lads over there will soon tell you the facts.
PS - even if this did occur at a railway station, or is a council or police ticket, chances are something may make it invalid.
Idiots like Conor and ANewMan should keep their traps shut, and understand that a site like this is to HELP others, not to hinder.0 -
I have found out more about EFPN. I rang the Ripley Post Office and they say that they are legit and that I was not the first person to check up. I also rang the PO Box people and the company address is Web House, Portsmouth Road, Ripley, GU23 6ER. Strangely when you go onto the BT website to locate the business, the number does not come up! Is there anyone who has been successful in NOT paying these tickets from EFPN. We got one yesterday at the Hobby Horse pub, just north of Leicester on the A46/A607 roundabout at Syston. I don't mind paying if it is all legit but £60 is way over the top?0

They will threaten you with debt collectors, bailiffs, etc., but it's all smoke and mirrors, they hardly ever actually take anyone to court, and there are no known cases of a PPC winning against a properly defended case.
Best advice is to ignore everything they send you, and never contact them. They usually give up after 5 or 6 letters. Confirmation of all this can be found on the forums at Pepipoo and CAG.
I have been providing assistance, including Lay Representation at Court hearings (current score: won 57, lost 14), to defendants in parking cases for over 5 years. I have an LLB (Hons) degree, and have a Graduate Diploma in Civil Litigation from CILEx. However, any advice given on these forums by me is NOT formal legal advice, and I accept no liability for its accuracy.0 -
I received one of these yellow ticket things from EFPN last year. I never paid it and I never heard anything either from them. I don`t know if they can actually trace number plates to follow these up, they just use the scare tactic to make you pay. I wouldn`t pay it if I were you.0

One thing no one else has thought about. What does EFPN mean? It is not their company name! It is a police term of issueing tickets, e.g. useing a hand held mobile phone whilst driving.
My advice would be to ignore all letters (if any)

In police terms EFPN = Endorsable Fixed Penalty Notice. This may be coincidental but one would have to ask to what degree and whether there isn't an element of deception involved in their selection of name?My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016).
For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com0 -
Hopefully the OP didn't pay this and got some decent info from Pepipoo. I'm not entirely sure why this thread has been bumped from last year, but anyway, as we now have a Parking Board I'll move this thread over there0
