Red light for electric flickering MORE, when mains/everything is off.

Just had an independent electrician out, who tells us it's not the house' electric like FU said, it must be the metre.
I'm now going to ring united utilities, as they're the one's who installed the metre, maybe that will do something.
Have already put in a complaint to FU.Save, save, save, save.0 -
So, now they've said they'll install a check metre, but they won't change the 'faulty' meter for 3 more months.
We quite frankly, can't afford our current meter to be broken & to pay the £100+++ electric bill every month for the next 3 months! That and the fact we're probably moving out in 5 weeks and need it sorted by then!
Now they said they can;t do anything at all, unless we're going to be here for the next 3 months.Save, save, save, save.0 -
not good enough from them, a check meter needs a few days or a week max to prove a faulty meter not three months..
in the photo that is the same type i mentioned I have found several doing the same thing, its def faulty IMO...0 -

I would inform them that the move has fallen through, and you will be there.
Then pay only based on the 'check' meter readings.0 -
I've rang them today after them saying the meter team would be in contact with me to send someone out (389467583th time?) but no call back, i rang back to find they've gone home so they're going to call me tomorrow.
Do you think I'd be able to do that? Just pay for what the check meter says? I don't reckon they'll agree.Save, save, save, save.0 -

Request they take the matter to court.
If the check meter clearly indicates a fault, and is their meter, they have no legal leg to stand on whatsoever.
In addition, do you have an idea when it went faulty, and how much extra you have been charged?0 -
Yes it our December bill was £100+ more than any others we've had.
Luckily i'm still only paying the £50 DD i always have, although the £100+ bills has eaten into my credit i had on there.Save, save, save, save.0
