Don't worry. If what you are telling us is correct, there is something wrong so you will not be charged.
Do you think they will give us back some of the money? As our bills were £60, and went up to £120-130 the past 2 months?
I can;t really risk calling them out and then they tell me nothings wrongand i have to pay the £120, But without doing that, we're going to be paying £120 a month, for only using half of that..

They'll come to some sort of arrangement, I'm sure ... based on what they estimated you used
Which supplier is it anyway, as even a non-essential meter change is only usually charged at £50 - £60 by most suppliers0 -
First:Utility, RUBBISH! Really terrible.
And, their estimates of 'what we've been using' are also like £50 off every time! (i send actual meter reads in anyway, even though our meters obviously crap!)
Thanks a million for helping!Save, save, save, save.0 -

Their website seems helpfulCustomer sees a flashing red light on their electric meter
If you see a flashing red light on your meter this is perfectly normal. The light indicates that energy is being used and will pulse more quickly the more energy you use.

So confirming my earlier post that if the meter is flashing when you have turned the supply off at the main isolation switch, then there must be something wrong.0 -
Thanks, i do think/know there's something wrong with the metre, but then my worried side kicks in saying 'if they say nothing's wrong we'll have to pay £120, which we really don't have.
None the less, i've emailed them, but won't get a reply until tomorrow as it's the weekend.
I will also take a video of the red light, both of when electric is on, and when it's off.Save, save, save, save.0 -
Oh, and to top it off, i signed into my account to put in my daily metre readings (like they asked) and now it's telling me i have no active services with them!Save, save, save, save.0

There's no point you giving meter readings that are obviously wrong as the meter is faulty according to what you have said.
Perhaps they have done you a favour?0 -
I know, this is what i've been telling them, but they won't go ahead with anything else, until i've given them a daily reading for 7 days..

I do fear this thread is also decending into the realms of fantasy ... but if I'm wrong, follow this:
