Maybe someone could draw up some posters to put up in the various ASDA stores with a TCP prescence to alert customers to the fact that their parking contractor has been banned for ?? any one who has mistankly paid this company should be able to pop into ASDA for a refund

If I took mine, the parking charge would seem cheap next to her shopping bill!

    This from PePiPoo:-

    Dear Mr xxxxx

Thank you for drawing this to our attention.

You are correct in saying that once Town and City Parking Limited was registered in December that name should not be used on the signage in car parks operated by Smart Parking Limited. They can however still use Town and City Parking as a trading name.

On 25 January 2012 we suspended access by Smart Parking Ltd to DVLA data until they have made the necessary changes. There is not a fixed or minimum term for this suspension.

Following our discussions with relevant parties we are content that this was not a deliberate attempt by the company to mislead or defraud.

So a very big task for them to modify or change every sign in every car-park (think of all the ASDA car parks they "manage") , plus printing new paperwork .

    What a shame!
What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?
  • According to the Dundee Evening Telegraph TCP* are having to cancel "fines" sent to people who simply drove through a retail park in Perth (their home town!). The article suggests that you have to call their 0845 number to get them cancelled.

Worse still, it's illustrated with a photo of a speed camera!

The Telegraph obviously operates at the same (lack) of intellectual level as the scammers.

Think might have just got a wrong vowel in there :)
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
