Glad to hear you had a good holiday Rosemary but so sorry to hear about your friend. I agree with you about the pink candle philosophy. Thoughts are with you.

Moromir, I'm sorry to hear about your weekend too and am glad to hear you are feeling a bit better.

Just a quick post really to ask you lovely ladies about skincare, I am aware that I have been asking a lot of questions but I really appreciate all of your advice!! I have had acne for years now which goes through phases. It has been particularly bad recently despite being on medication for acne. The acne seems to have changed though and my skin now seems very congested on the cheeks (lots of small red spots). I am at a loss about what skincare to use. I have tried products specifically for spot prone skin but find these are very drying.

I am currently using TBS Nutriganics range (I think it's called that) and am using the foam wash, toner, and moisturiser. Only been using this a few days but wondered what other suggestions people have?

    Thanks all

Try La Roche Posay - I find it very gentle, not drying and gives just the right amount of moisture. I do think it is more a case of sorting out what is going on inside - hormones etc.

Rosemary - dreadful news, hugs to you and yours.

Used up an EL eyeshadow! Well, the last bit crumbled in the pan. Unfortunately, it's part of a multipan set. There is one other one in there showing pan, which leaves me with the problem of when do you toss a pallette? There is an icy white colour that I'll never use and the other colours I have in other pallettes.

i bought a unii palette so if I have one or two shades left to use that I want to keep but dont want all the packaging hanging around I depot the shades left into those.

mines currently got a benefit Thrrrob (couldn't stand that bulky box thing!), the remaining eyeshadows from a Dior xmas palette (used up mascara and lipgloss long ago and the packaging was just massive for 4 little eyeshadows) a MAC xmas palette and some mini laura mercier shadows in.

mine can get bad but no skincare i've ever tried has properly worked though it is better with Liz Earle and mineral make up. I figured out that dairy sets it off and so does stress. laying of those two things is the only thing that calms mine down :(

I am wondering whether dairy makes mine worse too. Going to cut it out and see if it makes a difference.

Rosemary, hugs. We missed our next-door-neighbour's funeral, when everyone assumed we knew she had died. We didn't.

DS's friend's mother died on Saturday (cancer); five of his friends have lost their mothers in the past four years, and four of these young men are just turning thirty.
All of the deaths were cancer; only one of the women was older than 55. He has a wide circle of friends, but it is still a sobering statistic.

I haven't seen the kind person who sent me toiletries on here for a few days, but I used the Aveeno moisturiser this morning. Another new favourite to go alongside Avon Care! It was lovely to use. What a great gift!
