Belated happy birthday Valm - Sounds like you got some lovely gifts.Well I've had an interesting weekend. Went to the doctors last night to get pre Japan vaccinations, went to reception after to book in for the second course, next thing I know i'm seriously wondering why I can see the light fittings and people's faces at the same time...
I managed to pass out and crack my head open like an egg, blood everywhere. I got to ride in an ambulance which I never have before
On a beauty related note, they've managed to superglue me back together to save having to shave chunks of my hair off for stitches.
Anyone any tips for getting blood out of hair? My hairs solid with it but I cant get the wound wet cos the glue will disolve, grr.
:eek: Oh moromir - what a dreadful experience.
Two UUs
CK Truth Bamboo. WNBA. I can't really remember when I bought this mini set but it was over 5 years ago. No idea why as I never cared for the scent of any of the four. At least is was the last one, gone forever.
Benefit Porefessional - WBA. It was a GWP and I love it. I have quite a lot of large pores around my nose and this does a great job and filling them in, giving me a much smoother finish with the BB cream. No buying toiletries Graduated May 2017Decluttered 2016 2469 items, 2017 1580 items :j2018 3060 itemsSealed Pot Challenge No 0380 -

Have cracked open a BS coconut set this week, nice but the scrubs not very good and a bit stingey on giving a massive shower gel and tiny body butter imoDebt free and busy treating myself:)
No more toiletries/make up until I've used what I've got stashed since Jan 2011, graduated October 2012. Restocked Dec 13..damn those sales0 -

Evening everyone, catching up on this week's news as usual!
Belated Happy Birthday VALM!
moromir, hope you're feeling better!
UUs... :j
Aveeno Daily Moisturing Lotion lavender aroma 200ml - wasn't much of a lavender scent but WBA as like the other Aveeno moisturisers I find it great when when my skin needs a bit of extra moisturising.
Neom Organic Body Wash 50ml - didn't irritate my skin but too flowery smelling for me so WNBA.
Colgate Sensitive Pro-enamal toothpaste 75ml - nothing special, did the job.
Dr Hauschka Rejuvenating Mask 5g - WBA, I love Dr H masks as they leave my face lovely and soft and don't irritate it.
L'Occitate Radiance & Colour Care Shampoo sachet - Doesn't foam up much and hasn't irritated my scalp so WBA.
GAs... :j
Another 4 sachets of conditioner gone to my Dad!
Also sold 3 items on ebay because they didn't suit me or I didn't fancy trying them (Jo Malone Vanilla & Anise Cologne, Richard Ward Hair Volumiser Root Booster and Perricone MD Advanced Face Firming Activator) so I'm one very happy bunny!!Have got some more listings finishing tomorrow so fingers crossed there will be another 6 outs shortly!!
And now for the ins... :embarasse
Dr Haushchka Cleansing Milk 30ml - One of my HGs.
L'Occitane Relaxing Bath & Shower Gel 500 ml - No excuses, just had to have it!
5 sample sachets from L'Occitane (1 shampoo UU and 2 conditioner GAs, so 1 shampoo and 1 body lotion added to the stash).
Jimmy Choo Flash EDP sample.
So 12 outs and 8 ins ... at least overall it's a net out!!
Hope you all enjoy the rest of the weekend! xNo act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.0 -
Thanks for all your good wishes, I spent the day in bed but I'm starting to go a bit stir crazy so now I'm up at 10.30pm :P
I employed the services of my mum in the end, it took a couple of hours but I feel soooo much better now with semi clean hair and the majority of the blood out out. Sorry if this is gross but what we found was if we rubbed sections of hair, (it really was solid) then the blood crumbled out, and although it was a bit tangly it meant we could at least pour water through it which we did a few times.
The left side (where the cut bits are) we just had to go real careful, I felt a lot happier holding a cotton pad over the cut parts (i felt like my scalp was being pulled too much otherwise). Next we covered my hair in conditioner to at least get a comb through it and washed out. Then we shampooed the ends and risked shampooing my scalp a bit.
Theres still a nasty chunk of dried on stuff around the wound but we daren't get any closer.
I'll just wear a hat if I have to go out!
Noone seems to know if it was a side effect of the vaccine (hospital doctor thought it was unlikely) or just a really bad reaction to pain. Apparently my pulse/blood pressure just plummeted hence the ambulance. Its odd as I tend to think of myself as pretty hardy and we were chatting away while the nurse was doing the jabs, happily made it all the way back to reception, waited my turn, started booking in the appointment and wham! down I went.
I guess we'll find out when I go back for the 2nd course on Friday! Doctor wants me to have them lying down and stay there for half hour getting up in stages (raising head, sitting, sitting upright, standing) etc over about half an hour before I'm allowed to go.
Apparently blood was just pooling around my head 'like in csi' according to my poor mum who of course went in to panic mode when her sole reference for pools of blood is dead people in csi :P0 -
UU a pack of cotton pads. WBA again - they're all the same so i will just buy the cheapest0

I love Bath and Body Works Sweet Pea fragrance as well. We need a BBW over here!!
Don't rate the BS scrubs either. I find them too chalky.
Have just repainted my nails. Fancied something vampy yet glittery so have dug out my old OPI Holiday Glow. Was bored so looked it up and am amazed that it was from 2009 Holiday collection.Still applying well too.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

Ouch!! Sounds horrible - hope you're feeling better now? As for the blood in the hair, i would ask your GP. If you're not meant to get it wet even a damp cloth might cause something? I think it'd be best to be careful as you wouldn't want another trip back =/ I'm glad you enjoyed the ambulance lol. I've only been in one once during labour - that was horrendous as they took a route which meant alot of corners and bumps. Brilliant when you're in the middle of contractions and a baby trying to come out :rotfl:! I hope your head is better
Out OUT - Colgate Sensitive Pro-relief toothpaste. WMBA - it's okay, but it doesn't freshen your breath and i haven't found a long term relief from sensitivity like it says it provides. I got it in poundland anyway so no loss there. I now have maccleans on the go, also from poundland which i much prefer for fresh breath
I found this Colgate toothpaste made my teeth more sensitive - weird.
Moromir - poor you, hope your head isn't hurting too much.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Have two uu
Herbal Essence Beautiful Ends Intensive Conditioner - This is DD's conditioner but we have a lot of pots in the stash so I finished this pot off as it had been open a long while - really lovely stuff and makes her long hair easier to comb through.
Lush Dream Cream - WBA, this was used on DD for her eczema, we got the really bad breakout under control with steriod cream and I used this once a day. I need to get to a Lush shop to replace but they are miles away from me.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Good morning everyone, frosty but really sunny here, hope it is nice where you live.
Painted my nails OPI Berlin There Done That, must go in my top 10 of the moment I think.
3 GA's some sticky blow dry/heat safe stuff and a couple of items of skincare.
Rosemary so pleased that you had a good holiday.
Moromir, hope you are feeling better now.
Smarter...., that will be a lovely gift for your mum. I did some gardening for the first time since September, after recovering from my ankle surgery, I did put on two layers of gloves, so nails and skin unscathed.:DThe best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time.
