  • I am in this month but nothing seems to be nearing the end of a bottle / tube. But at least I'm a third of the way through the month and haven't even been into a shop where I could get tempted, never mind bought anything. Seem to be finally realising even when I have a day that isn't so great shopping for stuff I don't need isn't going to get me past it.
  • Ok finally finished all the tidying, it seems like 1 day off isn't going to fix everything, but I am tired so i'm giving up for tonight.

Ems - so glad you are winning! how stressful for you!

Rosemary - bon voyage my dear x enjoy the sun, well jelly!

I know I need to be replying to other posts, but forgive me..my brain is not functioning (so tired) so I can only remember ems and rosemary's post.

I finished off with an additional 22 GA's, and 3 items on evilbay :)

I'm super happy about all these GA's, I feel like I'm getting control over my stash again.

hope everyone had a good weekend, I still have a L'occitane voucher to give away. Its the free hand cream one from facebook. i can email to anyone who would make use of it.
  • Today I sorted through all of my toiletries and organised them a bit better. I also did a 'stock take' to see exactly how much I have. It's actually quite shocking. I wont list products but I have the following:

21 (yes 21!!!) unopened body lotions/butters 11 of which are unopened 200ml Body Shop Body Butters
    12 Hand creams
    8 Shampoos
    5 Conditioners
12 Hair treatments (masks, leave ins etc)
    5 Body Scrubs
    6 Cleansers
    2 Toners
    6 Face Masks
    3 Face Scrubs
    7 Face moisturisers
    3 Night creams
    3 Face wash

I'm pretty sure I'm stocked up for years on some things. The majority of this is all unopened as I never open 2 of the same thing at once. This is going to take so long to go through, but lots of money will be saved as I won't be buying anything!

    :)
  • UU today.

    16. Baby wipes WBA
    17. Mirenesse mascara - WNBA it was OK but went clumpy in a short space of time.
    18. Cellnique advanced bio renewal masque (sample) This mask has made my skin feel lovely and it had a wonderful smell but ive just googled it and at £159 for 50g I wont be buying anytime soon.
19 Dior perfume sample cannot remember which one WNBA not to my taste.
    20. No 17 clear mascara - I use this to keep my brows in place but its been open for quite some time. WMBA its not great but choices are limited in my small town.

    TA/GA/sold.

11 items of make up- a random mix of the archaic(mainly lipsticks/glosses that are the wrong colour), the useless (mascaras that gave me panda eyes) or foundation that made me look like id been tangoed.

    And the ins.

28 Clinique blemish cleanser (still on my quest for something that works)
29 Clinique lash power tube mascara (thanks for the suggestion)
30-35 (and then came a free gift of mascara/eyeshadow/laserwear/facewash/moisturiser/lipstick - will probably sell most of these)

    36 L'oreal tube mascara
    37 L'oreal confettis top coat
38 Good things stop that spot gel (on clearance in superdrug)
39/40/41 3 Garnier pure active spot remedies (I had some success with the Pure range so wanted to try a higher strength of salicylic acid)
42/43 Garnier pure Face masks for blemishes.

I have a shocking amount of ins recently a lot of this is due to 'beauty boxes', some trying to find solutions to my unpredictable skin but since joining this thread ive realised that I buy things when im feeling down.
My husband is currently working away during the week so I guess im lonely after my daughter has gone to bed plus its hard being a 'single' parent. We have had a review at work and ive had a change of role which is isnt working very well for me. Not the job as such but the people politics, I know I need to grow a thicker skin but im struggling at the moment. So I foresee the stash growing until I establish better coping mechanisms.
    No more buying toiletries

I hope you've all had a great weekend. I had a rotten cold this week and had to work today so have just been catching up with pretty much the entire thread, I've still a few pages to read but am posting some responses now while the laptop is still working. My laptop is dying so I bought a Nexus tablet yesterday...got home really excited to try it out and it won't work:mad:. On attempting to connect to wifi I get a message the web page is not available, it's working just fine on my laptop though, am hoping someone at work can sort it for me tomorrow and it doesn't have to go back, I find tech issues like this soooo frustrating! Now, back on topic:rotfl:

Emsjune I saw you bought the extraordinary oil, I had posted some thoughts on it at the end of the last thread but don't know if you saw the post. I hope you get on with it, does seem a lovely product.

luce181 thanks for the link to the free facemask.

Hugs to CharlotteK after the car crash, Hammyham hope you're feeling better now and Rosemary because of your ill friend, and to anyone else who needs them.
  • Mingle - using TBS shower gel as loo cleaner really made me laugh. Blimey six months is most definitely a LHJ but I suppose it's really MSE. I had the Chocomania one a while ago and it lasted well but not for too long - maybe I'm too generous with my usage :o

Fiasco - You're completely right, I have never felt so lucky. Have been trying to make light of and when I told OH's friend he suggested I should siphon it back out. I don't fancy risking a mouthful of petrol though!

Rosemary - Hope you have a lovey and well deserved holiday. Good opportunity to use up some minis too.

UU Dove Silk Glow Body Wash 500ml - WBA. Nice and moisturising although a little boring but it does last a while and it's often on offer for £2 which makes it great value.

UU St Tropez Body Polish 240ml. This is one of my favourite scrubs, nice and scrubby without being too drying or harsh like some of the larger grained salt scrubs. WBA although I've got lots in my stash.

Hopefully I'll be posting a few more UUs soon. Not sure how to go about requesting to join the Facebook swap group - I suppose that's it isn't it?! If someone could let me know how to go about it I'd really appreciate it.
Saving for our wedding July 2013!

Rosemary and asset enjoy your holidays next week.

I'm glad things are better between you and OH Rosemary.

I've really enjoyed reading all the dog posts, it's been interesting to learn about dog behaviour. It's made me really glad this is not a strict thread, it's lovely, and educational, to go off topic sometimes.
