Could you also go and smack a few bottoms and tell them how it all works here please Glad
:rotfl:
I couple of months ago when the new enddate box was added I did pm one of the team to point out that wasn't actually what anyone had been asking for and would have been quite happy to answer any questions about how the board works from people who don't use it for comping (even if I'd had to go to the big senior compers for clarification)I am a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Wales, Small Biz MoneySaving, In My Home (includes DIY) MoneySaving, and Old style MoneySaving boards. Back
it appears that part of the new changes means that threads get automatically moved over to game over, which is great for me but I do appreciate all of the other problems it has caused
the biggest one atm seems to be that the end date does not show up in any type of search ie threads posted by Lakshmi, threads with ipad in title etc etc
That's something I'd not thought of before!
The threads aren't actually in GO as there's still 328 pages looking in the default view, all the End date view does it not show them up in that view, but they're actually still there, IYKWIM?
How are you going to move them to GO when you can't sort them into end date order and have the closed ones showing up? Edit: You can sort them with the old end date format and have them showing like before, but not with the new one!0 -
and I've just found another problem
if a comp has been moved to game over but the end date has been extended or was originally guessed too early, BGs were able to move it back to the main board and edit the title to the new date, we can still move it back but we can't edit the new enddate systemI am a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Wales, Small Biz MoneySaving, In My Home (includes DIY) MoneySaving, and Old style MoneySaving boards. It gets worse!
I really don't understand why they banned us from using the old system while the new one clearly doesn't work yet!0 -

I just had a look in GO and there seemed to be a lot of threads there that ended in the last couple of days and I haven't been able to do them so assumed they had moved automatically??
but also if you go to GO and click 'end date sort' at the top there are 4 pages of comps that haven't ended yet!!!!:eek::eek::eek:I am a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Wales, Small Biz MoneySaving, In My Home (includes DIY) MoneySaving, and Old style MoneySaving boards. It had been working great for ages, it started going awry when the new format was added and there were more and more threads without the old end date format in the title!
ARGH!0 -
