I don't mean to be rude to you both, you're fab :A - I understand this, but a lot of people won't & tbh I don't feel that is the point. Why should people have to do this? If people are doing this then MSE have got it wrong!

I know what you mean, I've had it all blocked like that for a long time, not just because of the changes made recently, but out of interest I opened it in a different browser where I wasn't logged in and didn't have anything blocked and I realised just how really awful it looks, it's all squashed in and the comp titles are mostly on more than one line so it makes it really hard to see the end dates amongst them without making me totally dizzy trying to pick them out! :eek:

CONGRATS to the MSE board. This change makes it a lot easier for me to see the dates and avoids formating issues with new users.

I have always done this even before the new date implementations as these settings hide all of the adverts, banners and mastheads and make the forum much easier on the eye

with my settings you just see the forum post's and nothing else!

The forum is really hurting my eyes right now, I found it really clear before but there is just soooo much going on now, it's putting me off

I have always sorted by thread title to get the comps in date order

It doesn't work today

I do not have a sort by end date in the drop down menu

I am soooo confused

Please help a very confused non- IT competent person

New users who get the format wrong account for such a tiny tiny tiny percentage of genuine comp posts as to be almost totally insignificant most of them are either duplicates or self promotion and end up being moved anyway.
Formatting also includes use of FB/TW when required and this new bucket of cow dung end date system makes no difference to that.

I searched by end date and they are a mess and not in order it has totally confused me

OK found it at the top now.

I am not daft but don't have the time to read all these posts - could you not have just put a quick how to sort by end date post at the top near I won I won I won etc. Would have saved a lot of time and posts like mine above

It doesn't actually work. The end dates are not actually in order!
