No OneYorkshireLass it was in reply to a string of posts which all seemed to believe that the end date had incorporated into the title. It may be more readable but doesn't help with sorting, searching, bookmarking or anything else people have been used to doing with the titles
Ah right, sorry; a coincidence that I'd just thanked MSEI hadn't read back before I posted ...

OK - there are some good points; firstly the way they're sorted into the date they're posted, even when going via end date order is fab. The date in the title is much clearer now.
However, negatives:- Need, at least, an estimated date for those unknown that are drifting around in some black hole somewhere.
- Need to sort the search function out so we see the date when searching a comp.
- Think the 2013 is unnecessary tbh.

Still useless for me who does sort by title ascending as that is not in end date order properly any more, so a big no from meMAY THE ODDS BE EVER IN YOUR FAVOUR0

Makes me feel sick scrolling down. It's irritating that the stickies have it on too.
I don't understand why it's not possible to have the date in the title and in the bottom (bigger) I don't see WHY this can't be done and it would still mean people can use the new system but also the old one.

This is ridiculous, trying to find all the competitions that end tomorrow - using sort thread into end date only brings up a handful.
I don't know if this will work but please give it a try.

Still no use, the forced enddate is now on the same line as the title but is not part of the title--- when you save a thread the date still does not show.0

It does seem to work but only because the comps have the end date in the actual thread title not the black date.
As some have said, it doesn't take a genius to just allow putting the end date in the title as we always could, then both systems can run and everyone is happy. I don't like this new black font it makes it hard to read the title and does not in any way solve the problem.
I don't think the techies deserve any praise to be honest or the MSE team as they just seem to be highly over complicating what is needed. We are asking for the end date to be in the title for very good reason and moving the black date AHEAD of the title won't do.MAY THE ODDS BE EVER IN YOUR FAVOUR0 -

it doesn't work. It shows 101 pages of comps on the board, but when you sort by start date there's 3260 -
So at the moment I have around 100 tabs open of comps that were posted since I logged off last night. Under the old system if I was short of time I could quickly scan the E: xx/xx titles, & either do the few that were closing today and leave the rest, or bookmark them all and sort into date order. Now I have no way of telling which of the 100 need doing today unless I click on each tab individually and read the date. Thanks for that MSEAl Mac Appreciation Society (AMAS) member # 6½
