Why, why, why?! I haven't seen a single person who likes this/wants it. I really hate it.

PLEASE please don't take the end date out of the title, it's so useful!

wow. no one likes being forced to do somat. Especially when alot of us gave our opinions on this subject a while ago, and no one really got back to us about it all. well, until now... like it or lump it. yes its a free board, and its not ours, but its us that keeps it successful. without people taking time out of their lives to share comps with total strangers there wouldnt be a board.

like many im not against change, but im against change just for the sake of it, and when it goes against what most people want. ive only skimmed the thread, but im pretty sure ive got the gist with regards to others feelings. im not an end date comper, but i need to see end dates, and the new date thing is tiny, and i cant read it very well atall.

what im finding most disturbing about this is how its been done. no discussion, no middle ground, just thats that. its shocked me tbh, as its not how id imagined mse to be. its weird that i feel so let down over something others may see as trivial and unimportant, but thats the way i feel.

I'm one who comps by end date. I use the buttons set up by weeowens within compers chat and don't understand why this can't carry on.

For now I guess I'm going to have to use weeowens buttons AND the new buttons??

I agree with you Sherbie. Also I find it upsetting that despite the number of posts on here and the unhappy people, lots of us long time members (no insult meant to newbies either), that not one person from MSE towers has commented or thought to do anything at all to help or bother to comment.

I for one, was looking forward to my regular evening of happy comping but I've given tonight's up as a bad job as I just feel so stressed and can't get my head around all of the different ways I am going to have to try to sort and find the comps. I feel really upset and let down. Yes as others have said, its a free forum but are we not valued at all? It's all very well saying this will be better for compers but it seems not to me. I am on MSE because I like the format of the comps board and the ability to search different criteria and personalise what I want to find, pretty easily. This seems to be catering to a new audience and not to us. My thoughts. I really am not against good positive change but I don't see how this is at all. I really feel like something's being taken away from me if this doesn't change back.

Is there any way to see just comps with an unknown end date at present? I'm trying to figure it out.

I just don't see why we at least can't still have the dates in the title. Does that interfere with how the end date tool would work?

I don't see the point of the new date field being displayed under each title, it was much easier to read with E:xx/xx. If the date entry tool is really needed, why can't it just append the date to the beginning of the title in a E:xx/xx/xx format on posting.
