The comp board was so organised before ... now it's just all over the place and MSE thinks this is an IMPROVEMENT!

TECHNICAL PROBLEM - Editing old post titles

If you try and edit a title of a post from before the "blocking" of E: DD/MM started you hit this problem. If the title is left with E: DD/MM in, then any change you make affects the post title but leaves the thread title (forumdisplay) unchanged.

    example:

Original Title: E: 28/02 Win a holiday to France

Edited to E: 28/02 Win a holiday to Germany

In the forum list and in searches it will show France but when you open the thread it will show Germany

(I just want to make clear this is different to the problem with posts over two months old which has always happened. This problem affects threads posted as recently as yesterday)

If you run a search for anything, e.g "classic" you don't get the end dates showing in the results! If you don't include the E:xx/xx you have no idea if the comp is over or not. Thus being a massive hassle...

what will be will be, but is there anyway of making sure the end date appears when you run a search?
