    Anyone can join in!
Well today I had to buy a plastic cover for my essay. Just been practising for my conducting exam this afternoon, and i'm SO screwed :( feel like crying, but that's not very productive. Hope everyone else has a good afternoon.

    How did the exam go?

I've spent £9.26 today, that was on travel, magazine, lunch and cigarettes.

I originally set myself a budget for £80 for the week, which includes travel, going out etc... think i'm gonna reduce that to £60 and see how i get on with that.

Do you mind if I join in? I will be having a very tight month this month. Bills are a plenty and money is flighing out of the account. Done the food shopping today and will try and make it last 3 weeks other than buying milk, bread etc.

I'd like to join in please. I'm signing up for everything which might keep my spending down.

I have budgeted £300 for the month for everything outside of bills for a family of 5, so food, clothing, kids!! my petrol etc.

I'm trying to pay off £8000 which is now on 14.9% since cahoot put up their rate, so every penny will count.

Well, my exam went okay. Not as good as I'd hoped, but it could have gone worse. Me and my friend treated ourselves for tea, so that's £4.93 spent there. Just finishing off another essay that's due tomorrow.. it never ends!

Did the weekly shop today - £13.54 so not too bad! I bought chicken, turkey, pasta, sausages and tuna to form the basis of meals (with added veg bought fresh off the market as and when..)plus coffee, butter and sausage rolls and crisps for the weekend as the children are ski racing again.

So, hopefully, with what I have in the cupboards and the freezer, I won't have to shop again with the exception of fresh fruit and veg for a little while.

Meagre budget going well so far.....:D

Well I'm on track for the first week. No major spends this week and even paid and extra £20 off my Argos card!

I would like to join - I have just done my food, travel and other budget's and it's pretty high at £409. So I want to see if I can reduce this. My biggest expense is socialising so I need to get that down even further than I have budgeted, the next biggest is travel but I do get some of this reimbursed.

I'm going to make a meal plan for each week, which will link in with my training for the 5K as well! This weekend is going to be expensive because I'm on a course so need to pay for own meals etc, but will put the challenge into full action once I get back.
