Put the cost onto the price of petrol then no-one can dodge paying it, those who use the roads the most pay the most, and there's one less thing for bureaucrats to do.0

It seems that whenever there is a road traffic accident it is very hard to get an independent witness. Most people are in such a hurry that they just drive around the scene and carry on with their journeys, ignoring the incident and any possible injured parties. It should be made a legal requirement to stop and provide your details whenever you witness an RTA.
I've had two incidents caused by third parties but without independent witnesses the insurance companies just agreed on 50:50 and I lost my no claims. Luckily, minimal injuries.0 -
Genuine children’s savings accounts with less than a certain amount in them (eg £1000) should earn more interest without the obligation to save regularly. Most children get small windfalls of money at birthday and Christmas and current standard rates are hardly an incentive for them to save.0

Keeping people in work longer doesn't help youth unemployment.
For those already in work try phased pension
25% @AGE 60
50% @ AGE 63
75% @AGE 65
100% @ normal retirement age
This may encourage some to retire earlier and not cost as much and helps youth employment0 -
Increase the ISAs allowance per year. The government should encourage people to save more money, especially when it is unlikely we will receive a pension in the future.0

Advertisers often claim to offer e.g. "UP TO 60% OFF." This is meaningless and misleading. (Anything from zero to 60% is "up to 60%.") The law should be changed so that such offers are unambiguous, e.g. "AT LEAST 30% OFF" or "60% OFF EVERYTHING."0

Talk to supermarkets about having food that has just gone out of date but still ok to eat to be picked up every night by homeless shelters/foodbanks. They have to pay money to have their skips emptied so giving it to shelters/foodbanks would save them money.
I think food out of its sell by date can't be legally supplied for human consumption, but if manufacturers were compelled to provide say 2 days between "sell by" and "use by" then all such food could legally be disposed of charitably after it has become illegal to sell.0 -
I'm a teacher living 32 miles away from school. I've tried for 8 years to get a local job without success. It would save money and the environment if public sector staff could simply swap jobs and do the same work in the council area they live in.0

Replace yellow lines that disallow parking with green lines that allow parking. The lines would be less conspicuous and most of the time would be hidden by parked cars! Parking in any other area would be against the law.0

I frequently see non-disabled people parking in disabled parking spaces as they know they can get away with it.
Please stop this!
We are frequently forced to park 'normally' and HAVE to pull the car half out of the space while we do the car-to-chair transfer.0
