Another SFD here but plans are moving apace re holidaying at home:-
When I think about a holiday my mind immeadiately turns to long lie ins and a cooked breakfast so I have planned to have said breakfast both days and not plan to start anything until 10am.
On day one some friends and I are meeting up for a sewing day - take a pack up and make an item which should be suitable for a christmas present - killing two birds with one stone.
After a meal from the freezer, take the dogs for a walk and then relax in front of the fire.
Day two - I have planned to visit a local shopping centre (don't panic) - its a small collection of shops on a former industrial site that I had been planning to visit to see if its a suitable day out when my parents come to stay. My thinking is that I could stroll around, enjoy a coffee and use the £10 treat money to buy some nice food for tea from M & S. I may even pop into the garden centre on the way home - I still have some vouchers which I could purchase a treat with. What do you think?
Ebay has been quiet but I managed to make a couple of sales yesterday so am over halfway to my target.
I ahd also considered "staying" in another bedroom but love my bed too much to risk a sleepless night44 day challenge

Do you ever look at peoples stuff and think about their life? I sometimes think, oh they must be planning a nice meal in. You know, wine, cheesecake, fish and veg! Sometimes you see the person with 10 sliced loafs, some melons and some lemonade and wonder what they are up to lol! It all brightens up my day
Yes! I do that!! You know they're having a party if they have loads of bread, party ring biscuits, paper cups and lemonade....or like you say a nice meal in....or the mad dash to the supermarket before visiting parents- a frazzled family in nice clothes buying flowers and wine on a Sunday morning!! I love people watching!I had also considered "staying" in another bedroom but love my bed too much to risk a sleepless night

I really get what you mean about friendships. My life seems like it's all work work work. Admittedly I don't have that many friends locally - but I am aware I have let them slide... Friends I have in Bristol for example - we'd typically go out on the razz and clubbing but I would easily sink £50+ and I'd want to buy new clothes in case I met Mr Right (or Mr Right-Now haha!)... I haven't been out in nearly a year and haven't seen them. My social/love life is non-existant! Need to take a leaf out of your book
Goodness this sounds like i could have written it myself !
... I'd be up for it!!! Just a thought!!!

Hi everyone, a SFD for me:)
Tonight was my something on toast for tea, but a friend of mine gave me a big tub of HM soup, so Ive had that instead and very nice it was to.
Ive been making a list of all the places and things I want to do on the 'at home holiday' and I reckon a bit of revision of the list is necessary as I would need months off and a fair amount of money so list mark 2 will be done tomorrow:rotfl:
Been feeling quite positive about this month and already spent my treat money in my mind - I think I will but a magazine, I usually buy a monthly one but havent done the last couple (well since Xmas) so a read and a good cup of coffee undisturbed for a couple of hours is todays treat plan - it will probably all change by tomorrow though, but I quite like spending this virtual treat money:rotfl:
Anyway off for a lurk and update my signature and make another cup of coffee, off work now for a couple of days so lie in and housework tomorrow and then a play day on Wednesday and finish my latest book I reckon:)

a bit late here pitching in but I finally had 2 SFDs on saturday and sunday. our last big DD went out today so now we know exactly how much is left for the month and it ain't a lot - oh well, another month of frugality and planning. I'm actually beginning to enjoy it to be honest!Trying to keep in budget.

Having one of those days where i've thrown loads of money at the debt and it doesnt seem to be shifting. I'm usually upbeat about things but i'm fed up of really feeling guilty whenever I buy something that I need, and i'm fed up of wishing my life away to a time when i'm debt free which at the moment seems like never
Ok rant over!
On another note it was a SFD which is a good thing! Tomorrow is a spendy day and i'll need to be careful that I just buy the things I need, there are lots of little tempting items that I keep telling myself I need but really I dont!0 -
I have finally done it! After months of trying I have finally got enough swagbuck points for a £5 amazon voucher. At this rate it will take me all year to raise enough money for my shampoo!44 day challenge

It's like a bad case of deja vu - back at work. I have to shout to Missy... ***Oooooh you got your boy moving in.. oh la la***. There had to get that out of my system! Not jealous whatsoever....ahem...
Anyway just looked at my figures and over dec and january i paid off £543.56 to my debt which i think is great. Considering i had christmas to buy for three kids lol.
Also thanks to your motivation and january thread i actually had money up until the 30th of the month. Its the first time in years i haven't ran out by the 14th or 15th of january.
Am a bit sad though my eldest daughter is away on her first ever class trip from monday till wednesday. She phoned me and is having a ball which is great but i miss her loads. My youngest is getting fed up with me asking to do stuff with her she said "mum please i want to be alone i still love you but go away" lol
Anyway on SFD No 2 have a good night everyone x x:j
