No reason to think our Asda won't take Somerfield coupons. They have large banners tied to the walls outside the shop saying "Use your Sainsbury's (and Tesco) coupons here".0

I am interested in your comment "They have large banners tied to the walls outside the shop saying "Use your Sainsbury's (and Tesco) coupons here"."
At my ASDA, the banner refers to VOUCHERS, not COUPONS, so I aked at the Customer Services Deask, and they advised this meant gift card type vouchers, rather than coupons against individual products marked with the other Supermarkets logo etc.
I appreciate I could ask the same question at the next nearest ASDA, and they may say differently. Maybe one for that 0500 number quotes on this thread .. .0 -
I don't know if it helps but is voucher not just another word for coupon !!!
Next time you ask, tell them that the head office customer services says they should take them and politely ask them to check by calling the 0500 number.Your really can not beat a good bargain !!!0 -
What is Tesco's company policy on accepting coupons from other stores?0

Tesco will take Sainsbury vouchers (the £5 off your shopping type, think these are nectar ones?) or product vouchers that are not store-specific (ie 10p off Heinz soup IF YOU BUY IT) but not somerfield £1 off wine etc.
I asked last night at the checkout0 -

As stated before, this varies so much from store to store - each seems to have their own policy! Our local Tesco will take other supermarkets' product vouchers, such as the Somerfield ones mentioned in this thread. HTH.0 -
Fair enough, so you will have to try it and see0
