Is it used mainly for short journeys?
If so it could be the diesel particulate filter.
Yes, fairly short journeys but lots of them.......My home is usually the House Buying, Renting and Selling Forum where I can be found trying to (sometimes unsucessfully) prove that not all Estate Agents are crooks. With 20 years experience of Sales/Lettings and having bought and sold many of my own properties I've usually got something to sayIgnore......check!0 -
Diesels do not like lots off short journeys. TBH it defeats the whole point of having a diesel if the majority of journeys are short ones.PLEASE NOTEMy advice should be used as guidance only. You should always obtain face to face professional advice before taking any action.0

To the OP, any warning lights on the dash as if the DPF is clogged you should get a warning - check engine light or maybe a dedicated DPF one?0 -
Could possibly be something to do with that then!

No warning lights whatsoever......that is what is puzzling me, I don't know much about cars but whenever I've had a problem with a car before the warning light would come on straightaway.
I drove it home tonight and it sounds awful and is still sluggish but no chugging thank god.My home is usually the House Buying, Renting and Selling Forum where I can be found trying to (sometimes unsucessfully) prove that not all Estate Agents are crooks. What sort of mileage is your daily commute and does it ever get a run down the motorway to allow the filter to regenerate?0

I would expect there to be some sort of warning light but your handbook will have the answer.0 -

Journey to work about 10 miles and then during the working day can do 20/30 miles in short journeys.
Most weekends will drive 30ish miles on a motorway. My home is usually the House Buying, Renting and Selling Forum where I can be found trying to (sometimes unsucessfully) prove that not all Estate Agents are crooks. The 30 mile trip should be enough to clear it out. See what the dealer says. If they ask what garage you fill up at mention a branded one so they cant wriggle out.0

Many Peugeots and Citroens share the same engines.(PSA Group)Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0
