Worried I'm going to fall off the DFW wagon.... :(

So what, you spent £60??? Draw a line under it, take a really big deep breath and give the little ones a big cuddle.
£60 in the whole of you DFW journey is nothing, just a little speck of dust on the path. Don't worry about it. Just think of it (in food terms) as a very big slice of chocolate cake that made your skirt a bit tight. A few days later it has blended in to all your other meals and if you've had to have salad for lunch for a few days, then hey ho, so what.
If I was nearer, I'd come and have a cuppa with you just to say hello and give you a hug.

)
I will gladly come over tomorrow for a coupld of hours and take K and A off your hands so you can just rest, or I will listen to you snore and amuse the kids-please let me know how I can help!!!!!
You are not alone sweetheart.

Hi Sarah
My "baby" is now 32 - and I'm ashamed to see that he's very backward in taking his fair share of helping out with his 6mnth. old daughter! Mine were both breastfed - wonderful excuse for Dad not to wake up, but I do remember making sure he realised I was up by kicking him anyway! Relieved my feelings!
Granddaughter was going through night, but about four weeks ago started to wake once or twice and her Mum has started to wean her, with the result that she seems to be more settled again now.
Don't feel badly, your hormones are still raging around - who'd be a Mum? It can feel like the loneliest job on earth. Hope you have some good friends to share moans with, apart from us on here.
As to the spending, well, doesn't sound to me as if there's anything in your list which won't be useful, even if today wasn't when you thought you'd buy them. Stop beating yourself up! You're a great DFW and will soon get "back on the wagon" again. Now, if you'd succombed to loads of gorgeous clothes, shoes, luxury food items, maybe you could feel a little guilty - as it was you certainly didn't!
Hope you and OH manage to discuss it all rationally - I'm sure he knows his beautiful daughter is part of his responsibility too really - but fret not, all this will pass. You will never believe how quickly these precious days go by, teenagers and beyond arrive horrifyingly quickly!
Bless You!Resolution:

beemuzed - I'm going to breastfeed too, so hubby wont be able to help either, but I'll be doing the 'oops, I'm sorry, did I wake you??' (flutter eyelashes innocently) thing too, just to make sure he shares my suffering lol!
Am I just a terrible person??

Hi IA
I did think you were making your May budget tight, but you manage so many amazing things, who was I to judge.
Re-the sleeping. I accept Ste gets up to get to work but what about sharing the feeds on his day off. 1 do the 2.30 shift but that one gets to lie in bed longer than the one who gets a 'full nights' sleep and gets up to start the day with the 6.30 feed. The other thing you can do when both at home is for each of you, or the one who hasn't had much sleep have a 'power nap' in the afternoon.
I agree with what the others have said about the money you spent. The blackout blind will be worth it, if it means more sleep for you. The toilet seat if it helps with potty training will soon be balanced out if you're no longer buying 2 packs of nappies, and I've no idea what a bumbo is.:D
Def speak to your HV, K might need more milk or faster flowing teats or something. AND TAKE BUNNY UP ON HER KIND OFFER TOO!!0 -
Isn't that bad enough? What happens to the bloke during the last stages of pregnancy. Well he can't drink in case he needs to drive...and that's about it.Donedoingdebt Lightbulb moment January 2000. Debt at highest approx £102,000. Debt now (October 2009 - absolutely fork all!!!)

Of course Snaggles, you could always express a bottle of milk, so he could do a night feed......:D
IA, don't worry yourself about this money. Have you got any vouchers for pizza hut or somewhere where you could have a cheapy meal (if someone baby sat), and just both have some time off
chevI want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

You would think so, if you listened to my husband
Even my Mum and Dad said the other day 'if you think you might be going into labour please will you ring us as soon as possible, so we can arrange NOT to have a drink'.
How inconvenient for them to have to stay off the alcohol in case they want to visit their daughter and her new baby......

I breastfed and my hubby was gutted coz he wanted to help feed in the night like he did with our son. So instead he used to get up and pass H to me, I would feed him, then hubby would put him back to bed
So he really did share the suffering. Olympic Countdown Challenge #145 ~ DFW Nerd #389 ~ Debt Free Date: [STRIKE]December 2015[/STRIKE] September 2015
