So, another first time poster enters the MSE forums and, surprisingly, chooses here to make his first glowing report about a company almost everyone else is experiencing horrendous problems with . . . hmmm!!!

Over two weeks now, I still can't make a call, no (real) responses to daily emails, no phone pickup.

They have nearly 1/2 a million customers if everybody had problems they would soon go bust.at the end of the day, market forces will dictate who wins and who looses.

If they do go bust fine, it wont be the first company or the last.
I would have saved over £500 compared with BT.

Personally I have only called customer services 2 times in the last 5 years, yes i had trouble contecting them by phone,However my email queries were both solved within a week.

I switched from BT (line only) and am now paying £6.28 a month, had a couple of emails answered OK and caller display removed. I have been satisfied with them so far.

and I walked the streets of Whitechapel and never got killed by Jack the Ripper.
So, I guess that just proves he never did those things.
The bankers stole my pension (and everyone else's). It should have earned a lot of money, but they took their bonus pot first.

You seem hell bent on denigrating this company and stirring things up. Very curious considering you claim you're a customer, and then tell the world Primus are about to go bust which is blatantly untrue, #26.. You've also claimed you can't get through to CS, (#24 same thread) which is also a lie considering I've done so on 3 occasions (just to check the validity of this) without a problem since you mentioned it. My longest wait was 20 mins which is nothing compared to certain utility companies that have kept me waiting much longer. A few others have also mentioned no problems, and it doesn't take long before you start jumping down their throats too. How can anyome take your claims seriously? I suggest you stop your DD (if you haven't done so) and just find another provider to take over your line. How about BT?

    Oh, I have, I have.

But, for the record, I have still had no response to any of my emails and I still cannot connect out to make a call, now into its 3rd week. Is that what you call good customer service to a fairly long standing customer of 7 years?

I've seen enough of this pattern before, and I know the usual outcome. If they do pull through, I could always sign up again, if they prove themselves worthy. But this kind of appalling service is not the way to convince me. So for now I'll sit tight and reserve my options.

Awwww, thank you for that, el dred.
But there really was no need to come trooping all the way back to this thread just to say thank you. Still, it brings your post count up to 2.

  • Hi All

I deal with my mothers utilities including her home phone from Primus. I saw a deal advertised for a cheaper deal from Primus and thought I would request this. The reply I recieved was extremely poor in terms of customer service so I decided to contact their Managing Director. He didn't reply but passed it on to his customer service supervisor who contacted me. Not much help though so I decided to give notice. I thought I would let the Managing Director know this and sent him another email - guess what, he had blocked me! Now that's an MD that cares about his customers.

Interesting to read this thread about Primus. I've been with them for a few years now and had excellent service from them throughout, including a house move. But I've recently noticed that they appear to have stopped billing me for calls or line rental since 31 October 2012.
