MSE News: Primus customers hit by service woes
Comments

MSE suddenly gone very quiet on this now. Are you all missing Martin or have you all been trained by Primus?0

I have been without any broadband service from primus for over two weeks now,
Have tried to make contact by phone,(3hours and 39 mins later still no answer,
Also have sent many e mails to no avail,
This has to be the worst company i have ever had the misfortune to deal with ever.0 -
Figures. You get what you pay for. Glad I didn't sign up to them, was sorely tempted at times though.
Anyone remember when MSE was recommending E7even broadband as the cheapest? Look what happened there.Blessed are the geeks, for they shall inherit the Internet.0 -
@Blackjack Davy
Well, its fair to say that Primustel was a very good company initially. I can always remember calling them on several occasions, when their call centre was Scotland based (Glasgow I think), and I'd say pick-up was within 3 rings. Very polite and helpful staff too, when they said they'd do something it was done.
Then the black day came in November 2010 when it was taken over by NewCall Telecom who have acted like a bunch of cheapskates, and to save costs i.e.line their pockets, they appear to have stripped back everything that made it a good service.
Yes indeed, we have seen this pattern before. Sadly, too many times, especially with telecoms, and we all know where it ends up.The bankers stole my pension (and everyone else's). It should have earned a lot of money, but they took their bonus pot first.0 -

I signed up with Primus on 7th jan,13.99 per month for 20mb Internet and free evening calls after 6 and weekend. They sent me an email confirming.
Connected me on 28th jan exactly as promised. No problems yet.
They didn't describe 20mb as unlimited, but I am pretty sure it's enough for me. As reassurance, they said I could check my usage every couple of weeks initially.
Havnt had to check my bill yet0 -
Don't go near them, they took £99 out my account without permission and I'm still waiting to get the money back after 2 months and 20 e-mails. I;m now e-mailing daily, they are a shambles, stay away.0

Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0

Hi all
Sorry to swim against the tide here, but I thoroughly recommend Primus.
I've been with them about 18 months, and my phone bill is about a third of the amount it was with BT. I will admit that the phones aren't answered particularly quickly when I've had cause to ring, but once through everything has been dealt with efficiently and professionally. The account website works a dream, I can view and download my bills easily.
I have no connection with this company, just trying to redress some of the negative feedback. Perhaps I've just been lucky.0 -
So, another first time poster enters the MSE forums and, surprisingly, chooses here to make his first glowing report about a company almost everyone else is experiencing horrendous problems with . . . hmmm!!!
Over two weeks now, I still can't make a call, no (real) responses to daily emails, no phone pickup. The bankers stole my pension (and everyone else's). It should have earned a lot of money, but they took their bonus pot first.0
