No problem to date just waiting for first bill. Looking at all the negative posts just hope they have improved or I'll start comparing them with BT.0

NPower is the worst company I have dealt with in England. At the moment I am formally complaining about its billing system. They have made mistakes frequently.
Most recently they sent me a letter saying I owe them nearly £1,000, which is wrong.
They said they had a computer mess-up and since then, for the last 3 months, I have received different bills. Every time I call them, I have to wait for a very long time. To make it worse, when in the end I get hold of someone, it is always a different person and we had to go through everything again.
At the moment I have formally complained via email, since when I called them, no one answered for nearly one hour.
This is a shameful company, which makes you depressed.0 -
Very poor. I switched to to Npower on 30th Septemeber. I didn't hear a thing for weeks. I then got a letter saying my supply was due to switch on 6th November! I supplied meter readings on the 8th November which have still not been forwarded to my previous supplier by the 1st December.
Contacting them is a complete nightmare. Sat for 55 mins in a queue which was meant to have a wait time of 10-15 mins.
I will be switching away from them as soon as possible.0 -

Having a similar experience! Changed to them from Scottish Power, supplied meter reading online - not rec'd! Rang and got thru after long wait - gave reading again - 2 weeks ago, still nothing. Can't get thru to Scottish Power, asked for a call back, the automated system eventually rang me back and then cut me off.
Not impressed with either company, but now particularly unimpressed with nPower shipping out jobs overseas!0 -

It's good practice to provide readings to BOTH suppliers when asked for the meter reading by the new supplier0 -

I always use the providers websites to submit my readings0 -

Yes so did I!
The nPower one accepted the reading, but then didn't show it - I rang up and the woman said she could see no sign of the reading, so took it again - it's still not showing but an estimated reading now is! #grrr
The Scottish Power one recognises I'm switching and won't let me enter a meter reading.0 -
I have created a petition against Npower at the government website. Perhaps if we want better change, we would need more signatures. I would appreciate if you take a look here.

Have just posted in another thread but have to agree they are the pits. Applied to switch 25/10 but 5 weeks later still nothing received (they say 7-10 days on their website, although they do have details on their system They also fail to reply to emails.
I read today they now have the worst customer ratings. I thought edf were bad.
Now managed to cancel it. Phew! Going with Ovo.
They should be taken to the cleaners by the regulator. I am not holding my breath though0
