  • yes,i would assume that was why the company took an imediate "dim view" to where it was parked when they were told and no doubt there fleet insurance or whatever states they must be kept in secure/off road parking over night hence this clause in a contract or whatever they agree to when useing them for personal use etc

Hope he doesn't tell his insurance his vehicle is parked on his drive overnight!

    What's your point?

If, as a workk colleague found out, you tell your insurers you are parked overnight on a driveway when in fact it's on the highway and your car is hit by another car you have a battle to get your insurers to pay out.

Work colleague did it innocently as he did sometimes park on his drive overnight but as it was a single entry driveway if he needed to be away first in the morning and his partner wasn't home before him he left it out on the street. The car was hit by a joy rider in the early hours of the morning.

I was not suggesting they damage the car, but a car parked on the highway is deemed a higher risk than on a driveway overnight, hence it affects the cost of your insurance and is a material fact affecting your insurance policy.

I'm intrigued - how does that work? Simply cress seeds scattered?

I have been following this one, thanks for the update and I agree with OP, if only the van driver had been civil they could have sorted this out. Now he has to make alternative arrangements to get to work, which will cost him. It proves what a real Richard head he is as he has started parking his car there now. Its typical of this type of person, some dumb thoughtless yob, or near do well as my gran would say

Sort what out? Op was hardly willing to negotiate - it was a park elsewhere or else type situation. Either way, because people like op, the guy would have been in the same situation at some point.

Sort it out as in 'there is somewhere to park out of everyone's way just around the corner. By being a !!!!!! he got the van taken off him. Who wants a van parked outside their house. Or is it just me as I have worked hard and have a nice house?

What on earth has having a vehicle parked outside it got to do with having a' nice house '?
If people are so preoccupied worth what parks outside their nice houses I'd suggest they would be better buying said nice houses in the middle of a field.
