parking a large company vehicle

No it wasn't!
It was in response to you because you initially mentioned that the driver had not paid the road tax, but the company did, and a member correctly pointed out that that was irrelevant.
Now you don't even know what waffle you say one minute to the next!;)
<SIGH> Here is what aircon posted;
But this isn't about his employers insurance policy. It's about why he shouldn't park the vehicle (which doesn't appear to be much larger than some vans) he uses for work and commuting on a public road like every other road tax payer... then about why he shouldn't have to spend money on a car to commute just to appease op... so how it's gone so off topic that you're questioning his insurance policy is beyond me.
THAT is what I was responding to. Would you like syrup on your waffles?PLEASE NOTEMy advice should be used as guidance only. You should always obtain face to face professional advice before taking any action.0 -
OP PLEASE put up a link for google maps, to put all these arguements to bed!0

Hi im sorry to gatecrash this thread, but we are in the same position as the OP. We have a large company vehicle (the same as the OP, but not the same Co.)parked across our house, driven by our next door neighbour, and are finding it difficult to manuvre ( in our opinion ) in and out of our driveway. I dont want to argue over the silly details like tax n insurance, i would just like to know if we have any say and with whom. I have contact our locally MP, who have agreed with us in the matter of inconvenience, but im stuck where to go now.
I have photos, but i dont know how to upload.
any help appreciated, ps sorry for my yorkshire language and grammar0 -
Obvious first question; Have you spoken to him? If no joy there, is the vehicle sign written with the company details so you could have a word with them? Finally, is the vehicle parked legally? Last resort is to speak to you local police.PLEASE NOTEMy advice should be used as guidance only. You should always obtain face to face professional advice before taking any action.0

if you see from the photo showing the red circle, this is where the said vehicle parks, inbetween the 2 drives, we live at the top drive, and when we try and drive out, we have no way of seeing the cars leaving the cul de sac across and no way of seeing vehicle coming around the bend.
I hope i make sense :-|, i hope u see the pics.lol
the pictures have been taken on a quiet day, normally cars are road parked everywhere, during the afternoon and night, also our house is the one after the two wheelie bins, so we have caravans near too.0 -
First pic isn't really much help. All I can suggest is what I mentioned in post #116. If the van is parked legally, there isn't a lot you can do about it. BUT you may get somewhere by contacting the actual owner/company.PLEASE NOTEMy advice should be used as guidance only. Your ability to get in and out isn't restricted by the van but your own inability to reverse into your driveway. You should be reversing into your drive and driving forward out of it.
The vehicle presents no different an obstacle to a wall or tree to the left of a T junction.0
