Hope you start feeling better soon Casper. Been wondering where you were.

Have a good day everyone. xxx

Thanks so much! I've really missed you guys and am going back to work tomorrow. I went back to work two weeks ago and lasted exactly 2 hours before I went home in agony. (2 damaged discs ~ long story lol!)

Not being on here is like losing a limb!
Have missed it! Thanks for the thread ETO and all the encouragement on here, it's a great place to be!

    :T

    Cheers

  • Morning All

Spent £4.00 today on school disco - girls will love it

Very pleased I had some Quidco cash back and a sky rebate - both went into my New York Savings £65.96 - whoop whoop

Frustrating news at work yesterday - hours have to be cut - no more overtime :-(
Back to 12hrs a week instead of 19/22 - good job I have joined these threads to keep me on track
    Seal pot challenge no 7- :) # 331 Saved £140 SPC - Target £30
    Grocery challenge - £100 a week
    Weekly Spend Challenge - £40 :)
  • Sounds painful Casper.

Sorry to hear your hours have been cut Verityemilia. But good news on the quidco payment, I'm currently waiting for a £50 payout. When do you go to NY? I love it there. My sister in law has just come back from living and working over there, so no more visits for me.

So far a NSD but am expecting a small spend later.

We have been messed about by mothercare with the delivery of our nursery furniture so have just spoken to them and we are getting £25 vouchers thought the post. :j

Thankyou ETO ... I'm ok about it at the moment and I think things will pick up and hrs will become available again - I hope ;)

I am going to New York in May, I'm very excited and it will be my first visit. It was a surprise from my BF - I have saved £138 so far and am expecting to take about £800-£1000 with me

I bet your sister in law loved working out there - you never know you may get to visit again :)

Well Done on the Mothercare vouchers - nobody seems to empathise with the customer anymore, it's all sell sell sell - Customer Service should be priority at all times ( apologies I work in retail and it frustrates the hell out of me  )

You will love New York and make sure you do all the sight seeing stuff as it is amazing. We also went to some of the art galleries and museums as well as the typical places. We went in May/ June 2008.

We've been desperate to go back but just not been able to with hubby's job. And with baba on the way it may be a few years yet.

My sis in law works in tax accountancy so very stressful job, but she did love it over there.

I didn't push for the vouchers, they had said to call when we had received all of our items and they would give us a goodwill gesture, so it was nice that it came from them.

Well another NSD for me today so doing pretty well, out for tea tonight, but being taken by the in laws so another freeby!!! :D

Am hoping to have some pennies to take into next week.

Fingers crossed for you too rising keep that money in the bank. :D

4th NSD for me here though may have to spend my £20 tomorrow or the weekend to send flowers to someone to say sorry :/ My own fault, I should stop reacting when someone says something I don't like & just let it wash over me....
