Right bang goes my budget :-(
Spent £5.75 at the shop for a grocery topup but then got a takeaway last night as its payday tomorrow and my hubby has been told he's getting a surprise bonus in his pay packet this month.

So as of this morning my total is:
    £86.25/£100

I'm sure we can manage for the rest of the week, but payday is a really hard day for me as normally i get the kids to school then go shopping for all sorts of crap. Need to stay honest with myself and you guys so i can stay focussed.

It sounds so silly writing this but i have found this month really difficult and found myself having to resist urges to spend money on useless tat. Getting a temporary job has helped me so much, not only for the extra cash but also kept me busy and more focussed on saving rather than spending.

I am fully expecting to blow my budget this week but i WILL TRY! If i dont need it i dont buy it.........keep chanting!!
    Looking for a fresh start

WELL! This thread is certainly working for me - not spent a penny yet this week :j & hope to continue that today too. Still need groceries (from a separate budget) but going to put it off another day :) It's amazing what you don't need when you really think about it ;)
    £0/£20!!!

Today I've spent £1.75 on two chocolate bars, oops. I'm not planning on spending anymore today.

This brings my total to: £7.55/£20.

I can't believe I STILL haven't spent anything - this is unreal of me! I did have itchy purse fingers this morning, but I was strong & went for a walk round a nearby riverside town with my DD after lunch & resisted everything - chips (that smelt fab & I was starving), chocolate & even parking fee's as the first 60 minutes was free :D

Nearly bought some baby legwarmers online for DD as someone posted about a bargain on facebook, but decided that she was probably too big for them anyway now plus the winters nearly over ;) (light at 5pm tonight!)

    £0/£20 :j :j
  • Well done Skint_Catt, that's good going and well done for resisting all today's spends.

Everyone looks to be doing so well. And zakeska you can do it, you're still green.

Another £9.91 spent today on groceries, but hubby did the 'big' shop today as we are feeding one of his friends tonight. So happy with that. Am hoping not to have to spend too much more this week,
