A No Spend Weekend for me, so that's NSD #1 and NSD #2 in the bag
Yesterday was a lazy day until (and after) OH arrived, and I didn't leave the house at all.
We couldn't do much today as he's on nights starting at 10pm, so I took him to the gym on a free guest pass this morning - and I think I came pretty close to killing off his legs :rotfl:
We spent 30 mins on the treadmills, but doing different things as he's only on his 2nd week of running. I then took him through what I do for my 'legs session' with the PT on a Monday.... some of which he managed at a very basic entry level (wouldn't have expected more), and some of which he couldn't do at all  We finished off with about a half hour in the swimming pool (by the time we'd showered, dried and dressed we'd been at the gym almost 3 hours!) before coming back to mine for a brew - after which he headed home for some sleep which looked very much needed
Told him it's alright for him..... he's not the one who's got to do it all again from 8:30am tomorrow !!!!!!!!!!
D/Debit due out tomorrow (though as of next month this one will be going on 1st alongside another one, so 4th won't always be a spend day in future), so I will be ordering my new combi oven (probably before I head to the gym). Held off on Friday, and got OH's input on the shortlisted ones when we were on the phone that night. When he got here on Saturday he scanned the manual (thankfully available on-line) for the one we'd pretty much whittled it down to (which had alway been the one that had appealed to me the most, but is £102 more than my other favoured option - so I needed to be sure about it), and managed to find answers in the smallprint to a couple of things that weren't clear on any website (including the manufacturers) that we were looking at. Also need to nip into Mr T for fruit for the week (regular Monday grocery shop, but don't think I actually need any veg for once - nor should I need anything else so it should be a very cheap grocery spend if I keep my blinkers on), and plan to nip into B'n'M for some more muesli while it's still (hopefully) on a '2 for' offer. May also nip to a sports shop for a bit more swimming gear, but it depends on whether I can bring myself to do the extra mileage to get there and spend the extra time away from my couch and kettle
Hopefully back on Tuesday evening to report in with another NSD :hello:Cheryl0 -
Hello everyone
NSD 2 for me today.
Need to get cracking with these as i go to Paris at the end of month (lurve in the air and all that!). Euros have already been saved and exchanged so spending them will technically have no affect on my bank account (not taking my cards anyway).
So ladies & gents, should these count as NSD days or not?
J x
Hi jonesy88,
I wouldn't count them then tbh!
ModestyB ((hugs)) I hope this pain is a temporary thing.Does anything help?
dizzylizzie great news with PPI!

Today is #3 thanks.0 -
Evening everyone - thanks for all the tips about the grease stain, I think it's from the duck fat when I was cooking the roasties for Xmas dinner - coke has deff made a diff to the stain (the acid breaks down the grease - lovely if you think what it does to teeth ) so will treat again, and work in some washing up liquid when they are next washed.
Great news on the ebay items MummyR :T
Not so much joy with the A$da wombles today - less than £1 over about 5 receipts but better than a kick in the wotsit. Off to make dinner and hopefully declare another NSD later.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

I count the days I use my debit/credit cards in shops, but not the days the transactions hit my card(s) or the days I pay my credit card bills - and to me it seems to be much the same thingCheryl0 -
Second one in the bag today NSD 20

Marmite, thank you for the hugs. It's one of those things that seems to take it in turn what part of your body it attacks. Dr has given me new pills to try.
Glad your back is better. Take care. Hugs to you too.S.P.C. 9 2016 No. 062 Banked £337.50

Hiya my No Spendy chums :hello:
As you can see there is lots of activity on this challenge at the moment and it's difficult sometimes to see how many NSDs you're all declaring on posts.
Could we ask you to highlight your number of NSDs in a colour and in bold so that Freeby, Spoon, ModestyB and Marmite can see them easily when they whizz through the posts - red would be best but they don't really mind as long as they can see the numbers easily.NO SPEND CHALLENGE.
1. Have a good, long think about what YOU want to include in your Spend & Excluded categories.
Some of us count everything from Direct Debits & school expenses, while others do not include things like essential Bills or emergency medical costs. If you plan what is or is not a Spend for you now, it will help you decide on a realistic Target.
2. It is NOT a race!
We all have very different demands on our time & bank balance, so please do not think you have to buy everything on 1st January & make it last till 31st December! A few of us have been following this Challenge for a long...long...LONG time so have developed plans & ploys to help us along the way
3. Most important of all, WE..DO..NOT..FAIL!
Sometimes we can't quite reach our Target, but that is fineEveryone knows how Life will try to trip us up, & that is when you will find us here to help you back on to your feet.
OK, an idea of how some of us do things.
1. What you will or will not include as a 'Spend'.
Some people are doing other challenges too, & don't include the money spent on those for this one.
Some will try to shop for other bits on the days their direct debits etc go out of their bank accounts; they're the real hard core of the bunch& have been l-o-n-g time Nsders so don't panic
Some won't count those annoying last minute demands from school & collections as you can't plan for them in advance, likewise emergency prescriptions or visits to the vet
Personally speaking & providing I don't buy anything else, I don't count parking for hospital appointments.(..but then I usually do my shopping because I'm already out )
General thoughts on €bay sales is the buyer has paid P&P so no cost to you
2. It takes Time to reach mega-numbers!
The First suggestion is the first, because a bit of planning will work wonders on your road to your Target. Have a look at thefirst posts each month for a hefty list of other threads that may be of help. For example, there's a few giving ideas for packed lunches so you can avoid standing in the queue at the bakers for 45mins of your lunch hour! A good incentive to tweak your healthy eating & the pounds you save will show in your bank balance AND your waistline
It helps to have various 'money pots' for the different costs that happen like Scouts, dinner money, yoga, window cleaner etc etc. The idea is you "spend" all that money in one hit by....let's say **putting the week's bus fares into the pretty coffee jar, Jo's tumble tots SIZE=2]Weds mornings[/SIZE in the cracked teapot & Ben's £1 coin for the gym locker SIZE=2]Friday lunch[/SIZE in the pocket of the changing bag, on Tuesdays every week when you've got some change from doing the food shop, so an already spendy day. At least four 'spending days' condensed into one(**mine's jam jars for windows, milkman & a bit towards the bills!)
3. Any day the money stays in your pocket is a bonus!
If you look at it as a day you beat the system, you can't help but :j so don't fret it--ENJOY! If nothing else in here, we do manage find something to make us smile
We have virtual outings to wonderful places that never cost us a bean :rotfl:New York, Edinburgh & Brighton have been a couple & Spoon usually pilots the Tardis but you can use your own transport; my personal favourite has been a sit-on lawn mower borrowed from the cricket clubThe only thing to be aware of is Hubert the donkey who is partial to anything remotely edible but is not yet house-trained
And Remember;
there are no silly questions, so don't be afraid to ask us anything!"If wishes were horses, then beggars would ride"
