Why does he need petrol sales to grow?0 -

One of the only economies not growing now (Ireland Portugal US even France are on the turn and others too)
We buy crude oil here, not petrol.
FWIW the UK has far too much Petrol capacity.Official MR B fan club, dont go............................0 -
Are you implying that politicians are useless these days? The standard of MPs past and present has not changed as far as I am concerned. They have always been rubbish so why the indignation? And his opinion was worth what his opinions usually are. Nothing.
You, meanwhile, need to get that chip on your shoulder seen to. Cameron may be a useless, arrogant fool - but he is a useless, arrogant fool because he is a useless, arrogant fool - not because of his background, which, like a good class warrior, is all you seem able to see.
So much for an Oxford education. Clearly, the old place isn't what it was.
It's just the way it is.0 -
Care to explain why your mob brought in the fuel duty escalator in the first place?Fuel goes up under Labour = redistribution / taxing the rich / sorting out the environment.
Fuel goes up under Conservative = thieving b@st@rds.
See the logic?
That's radio Labour.
When fuel went up while labour were in power they were hounderd to hell and back even in instances when it was not the tax increasing. Of course it suited the tories to condemn them at the time. Case of radio CONservatives?0 -

I'm not implying it. I'm stating it as a fact. Whether they are better or worse than before is a moot point but what is undeniable is that in the past they at least had some level of support. This is now fast dwindling, so by what right do these jackasses seek to rule us?0 -

According to Treasury figures from November 2012, had Labour remained in power and kept up its 'let's play tree-huggers' facade, petrol would now be 10p per litre more expensive than it is under the Coalition.
So, please, spare us the party political broadcasts. They are all as bad as each other and the dreary rosette-waving rhetoric is just insulting people's intelligence.0
