Rose28454 - sorry on the iPad and it won't quote for me.
The money in your mums account is hers and hers alone and She is now responsible for all the household bills and things like the headstone etc. Whatever else she has she can spend as she wants.
1st thing to do is she needs to see her solicitor and get a new will written stating clearly what she wants doing with the residue of her estate and any special requests like who she wants jewellery going to etc. You can also get enduring power of attorney done at the same time and as you are the person helping her it should be you with your siblings as stand ins incase you get run over by the proverbial bus. I've done this for my Dad and its by far the best way to do things. my Dad still signs his cheques and has a say in his finances but I facilitate things for him.
as there are 5 of you it's far better to get this done ASAP so no misunderstandings can occur.
technically your sister does not have to worry about her inheritance, only after the time you mum goes. What your mum has now and what she might have at that time could be a totally difference kettle of fish. when my Dad got into his 80s he had to start paying for a lot of extra help, mostly out of savings and he is now in a care home paying over 2 thousand a month. he is in good health so he could quite easily live another 10 or 15 years and then there will be no money to divide up afterwards.
in the meantime the bill for the headstone has to be paid by mum and not divided by the 5 of you but if anyone wants to put some money towards it then that's fine or you could even divide it up - mum pays half and the rest of the bill is divided by 5 of you.
This is bitter experience talking - I've had to sort out my m-I-l affairs out before and after she dies, my mums and now my Dads.“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
Morning all, am determined now that we have started a new month to keep up with this thread again.
I've been m.i.a since Christmas, as my mum had a cancer diagnosis just before Christmas. She's had some surgery and has to have some more shortly before the dreaded wait for results(its the waiting thats the killer).
Anyway, with that and my ds 18th birthday a week ago and my other ds 10th birthday yesterday and much scraping /plastering/painting of walls, life has been happening!!!
I managed to catch the bit about the dw tabs yesterday and got 12 boxes, but feel like I've been in limbo this last month, so want to come back to the real world(whatever that is!!!)
Many hugs to those that are going through it. I'm not going to try to read back a months worth, but wondered how logie is, and tinyshoes(with her mum)?
Happy 1st Feb everyone.xx:)
Sorry to hear about your mum
Hope the surgery is successful and things improveSmileand hopefully the world will smile back

Just wondering what people think of the new ClickSnap which Quidco are offering. Got an email last night and having a little look at the items you'll get cashback on. Had a read of the T&Cs and I must say it looks a lot easier than Shopitize and you can redeem each offer up to 3 times, online or in-store, and treble your savings! What I like about it is you don't have to scan any barcodes, just upload the receipt as a JPEG image.
Some items you can purchase in singles but there are others you need to buy multiples, 2s, 3s and 4s. For the coke lovers they are currently offering cash back on Coke 24/30x330ml (all varieties) - Buy 2 get £2 cashback.
Patty, you'll be checking Shopitize and Quidco offers now on your wombles
Have a good day folks
can i ask is this a app on a mobile? or is it on quicdo website ? manythanks0 -

My computer was poorly and went for repair:(, and my mobile is an old fashioned one that just rings and texts. Must update really. I am on a vodafone contract for £10.50 for 300 minutes and unlimited texts. This is with my own phone , Probably not very good but i am a bit of a dinosaur over change.
Hope everyone is okay.

Went into Asda yesterday and got 8 rolls of bin bags, couldnt believe it just looked up and there they were. Totally missed the washing up liquid though.

Just in the process of catching up but I thought I'd say that I've just managed to put a KG order in. I was able to use the 25% code and I had 1 full price item and 1 sale item and it worked fine
when entering the amount to deduct from the gift card don't put a £ sign in as it won't recognise the amount. I've just got my email confirmation too
