My final exact figure are not in yet, still working down the to-do list and getting distracted
But for 3 of us, we did have visitors but they didn't always eat at home so I am not counting them. So for 3 of us the food bill for January was just under £300 - that's £25 a week per person. I also spent another £120 on coke, crips, chocs, news, mags, pets, garden birds, medicine, health, beauty, home and garden and parking so about £420 in total. I used £123 in total of coupons, APG, TPP, BM and conditional spends.
so final total is about £285 - money that is actually leaving the bank account which covers just about everything. On my budget list I allow £600 for housekeeping so I am well within budget.
I've kept the chocs and crisps spends down and only bought a couple of Sally's and some Nairn, trying to run the he toiletry and beauty stocks down. The cats are well stocked so no cat food this month, just the wild bird food Coke I've spent a bit on as OH can drink 3 cans a day. mags were mainly Welch mags.
The only other thing I've bought this month is a few Christmas bit for a £10 about but I am keeping a running total of Christmas and about £25 on clothing from sales.
Feb is my MOT month which always turns out to be more expensive than it should and I might drum up enough enthusiasm to think about weekends away or holidays
But very well worth keeping these charts and knowing exactly what is going where and if there are any corners to be cut.“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
Just been to local express to see what goodies they had on offer today.
Nome of the RTC fairy liquitabsSEL was there but shelf was empty
I got 6 packs of the 74p loo roll to top up the loo roll mountain. Nothing else cheap or reduced.
I didn't buy DW tabs even though they have restocked. I did a quick reccy this morning and I have over 2 years worth so enough for now I think0 -

Fairy liquod 68p tesco or large bottle $1 for anyone not keen on persil.Ignore reality. There's nothing you can do about it.

Just had my main mailing and it is so targeted. if anyone feels paranoid, CCTV cameras everywhere, every move of your life documented etc then the Tosco mailing would send them over the edge.
Mostly MOCs but extra points for Being EON customer and for Whiskas.
MOcs for
Heinz 5 beans - never need to buy beans for years
Bavarian lager - stock piled already
Andrex - stock piled and still have Kim Clark to use
Welch juice - go nicely with free packs
Campbell's soup - free cans stockpiled
Heinz mayo - still have some from petrol promo
The only odd one is £2 Nottage Hill which has never come down enough for me to buy even when wine sale was on.
Now I am very intrigued to see what the other cards have“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -

Can anyone help me regarding the Kurt Geiger giftcards please? I know you get one from Elle magazine for £4 but can they be used
a-online
b-on sale items
c-on things other than shoes?
and can you use more than one giftcard per item or purchase please?
I wasn't paying much attention before but I can see a few cheap things on the website!
TIA!:)Queenriderbrekke wrote: »Also, do you have to pay postage? Or can the gift card be used as part postage please?
Shame I haven't a store near by x
I used the gift card online for a pair of shoes that were in the sale at £19...I ended up paying £3.95...the remaining £1 of the gift card was deducted from the P&P costs.
From the back of the gift card ....
This card may be redeemed to purchase individual items from the following brands..Kurt Geiger London, KG Kurt Geiger, Carvella, Miss KG and Mr KG only.
My shoes were Nine West and card still worked.Born to glitch0 -
Morning all, am determined now that we have started a new month to keep up with this thread again.
I've been m.i.a since Christmas, as my mum had a cancer diagnosis just before Christmas. She's had some surgery and has to have some more shortly before the dreaded wait for results(its the waiting thats the killer).
Anyway, with that and my ds 18th birthday a week ago and my other ds 10th birthday yesterday and much scraping /plastering/painting of walls, life has been happening!!!
I managed to catch the bit about the dw tabs yesterday and got 12 boxes, but feel like I've been in limbo this last month, so want to come back to the real world(whatever that is!!!)
Many hugs to those that are going through it. I'm not going to try to read back a months worth, but wondered how logie is, and tinyshoes(with her mum)?
Happy 1st Feb everyone.xx:)
Good to see you posting again, marrbett :T:T:T0 -
morning everyone
I don't post very often but do still read when I can.
Thanks to op for the finish d/w glitch. Managed to get 6 of the 26 + 26 in Psh0re this morning. They still had a pile left (maybe 12?) stacked seperately on the floor, not on the shelf but a bit further along
None of the huggies starter boxes at Mr A still and no space on the shelf for them now so I doubt they will get any in.0
